I’ve been very much in love with the name [name]Genevieve[/name] (nn [name]Niamh[/name]/[name]Evie[/name]) lately, and I’ve gotten to the point where I’m looking for combos. Any ideas? So far, I’ve tossed around a few options, but I’m not sold on anything yet ([name]Lyra[/name], Lira, Esmee, [name]Eliora[/name]/[name]Elora[/name], [name]Leda[/name], [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Sybella[/name], [name]Emilia[/name], [name]Opal[/name]…). I really have no specifications, other than that I’d rather not repeat the names in my signature.
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Leonie[/name] popped into my head right away. Honestly, not even sure if that’s a name! [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Lyra[/name] strikes me as well.
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Leona[/name] works too…
Oooh, I really love [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Luna[/name]! I had been considering [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Lucy[/name], too, but I’m generally not a [name]Lucy[/name] fan at all, and I’m not sure I would like any of my family middles after [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Lucy[/name]. [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Luna[/name] has more promise, though… The others aren’t necessarily rejects/discarded choices, I’m still mulling over them, but if I say “this is my list, what would you add?” I generally would get an “I love [name]Genevieve[/name] Esmee!” responses, rather than “I like [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Lyra[/name], what about _____”.
@parkerbelle - ahh, I know! I was just asking [name]Lindsay[/name] about you. I had sort of thought you had your twins already! I can’t believe how close you are. [name]Do[/name] you have the names picked yet?
@bananapants - I do love the idea of [name]Leonie[/name]/[name]Leona[/name]! I think I prefer [name]Eliora[/name]/[name]Liora[/name] in general, but [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Leona[/name] might be worth considering. Hmm.
@backtomyroots - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Lisette[/name]! Argh. I am a bit worried about the plethora of [name]Elizabeth[/name] forms that I love/would use, though–[name]Isabelle[/name] is already my top name, and I’ve seriously been considering [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Elise[/name], and [name]Elisabeth[/name] lately. I’m not sure I love [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Lisette[/name], but it has definite possibilities! I’ve always loved [name]Lisette[/name].
I am still very much open to other ideas! If you like some of the combos I mentioned in the OP, I would love to know that, too, though–I’m still trying to sort through, decided which (if any) should stick around.
Thanks, ladies! I really like [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Vienna[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Sylvia[/name]. I’m just worried–are they too “V” heavy?
@emmabobemma - I love [name]Cate[/name]/[name]Kate[/name] and [name]Fleur[/name], too; they could be options for a second MN.
Well, in [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Vienna[/name], the Vs almost run together. It’s almost like getting [name]Genevieve[/name] with a little extra “ienna” flourish. If you like that, then why not. I personally prefer [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Sylvia[/name] because the Vs are separated by Syl. Also, the Arthurian association with [name]Genevieve[/name] plus the forest association with [name]Sylvia[/name] gives the name a subtle fairytale feeling.
Mmm. [name]True[/name], I had thought of that. Now that I say [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Vienna[/name] out loud, too, it sort of sounds like [name]Jenna[/name] [name]Viviana[/name], and I like [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Vienna[/name] a lot more than [name]Jenna[/name] [name]Viviana[/name]… I really do like [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Sylvia[/name], though, I’ve been trying to find a spot for [name]Sylvia[/name] on my list.
