The title pretty much covers it.
YEARS ago, I took [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] off my list because I was afraid it was getting trendy (honestly, it is), but it’s also one of my favorite family names, and I’ve been missing him lately. I’ve decided I don’t so much mind the trendy aspect of the name, that the significance matters more. So I’ve decided to add him to my list, and am looking for a combo.
Years ago, [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] had been my combo, but I’m not sure I’m as thrilled with him now as I was then. It’s a nice combo, but it doesn’t make my heart do backflips or anything. I’ve sort of been tossing about [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] (or even [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]?), but those are just super preliminary ideas. Maybe [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m], too.
Anyway. HERE is my full list if you want reference for ideas (although I’m hoping not to repeat too many names)–any ideas for a MN for [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]?
Thanks, Berries!
scream in spanish I adore [name_m]Grayson[/name_m], even if it is a trendy name. I’ve heard people saying it doesn’t suit a grown up man, but I do picture a 30 or 40-year-old [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] and I love it. And, of course, I really, really, really adore [name_u]Gray[/name_u]/[name_u]Grey[/name_u] as a nickname.
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is super handsome. Mostly, I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] as second middle name.
I also like [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]. [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is very handsome, but I don’t like the flow of [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] is superb!
What about:

I love [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]! I slightly prefer [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] because I find it more pleasing to the eye but that’s a small thing.
I like [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] but I don’t love when one name ends with the letter that the next name starts with.
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]

[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is super handsome but could use a facelift.
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]

[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]
Thanks, everyone! Of the suggestions, I like [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] (funny, I was thinking of these two, myself!), [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u], and [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] (maybe?) the most.
(@undertherainbow - I’m happy to have taken you to your happy place, haha!)
I actually process combos much better going one middle at a time, so feel free not to worry about two middle name combos.
I am sort of intrigued by [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] (I love the idea of it, but haven’t found a combo where I 100% [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]), but I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] _____ [name_m]Joel[/name_m] construction, @our4mccreerys! I’m holding on to him.
And ahh, between [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] and [name_m]Grayson[/name_m], I like [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] better–it both looks more similar to [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (my grandma’s mn, and who I’m after to honor), plus, grey never looks right to me. I like [name_u]Grey[/name_u] better as a second middle, but when I’m using [name_u]Gray[/name_u] in a part of of a name (like [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]) or as a nn or standalone FN, I like [name_u]Gray[/name_u] better, for some reason. I’m so weird haha. For some reason, [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] has a deathly pallor in my mind, but [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] feels more lively and happy. It’s weird what one letter will do!
Anyone else want to make suggestions?
Thanks, Berries!
I’m going to try again.
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] / [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Osiris[/name_m] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] / [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] / [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]Tobin[/name_u] / [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]Toby[/name_u]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Adriel[/name_m] [name_m]Justus[/name_m]
Thanks, [name_u]Ashley[/name_u]! (So weird saying that, omgoodness haha.)
I actually like [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Osiris[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u], but feel super weird using the name of a god or goddess for a religion I don’t believe in, especially as I’m so passionate about my own faith.
I also [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], but I’m not sure I love the transition between [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]? I think it sounds fabulous, but somehow it doesn’t look quite right. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] for a boy, but somehow [name_u]Harper[/name_u] makes [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] feel even more trendy.
For some reason, [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] seems super cool, even though I’m not a fan of [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] at all, unfortunately. I love [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], however, but don’t like [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]? Isn’t it weird how that works?
The others aren’t really my style. I like [name_m]Justus[/name_m] a lot, but I’m not a huge fan with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m], unfortunately. I do like the idea of a rare “J” name with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]–I just haven’t found the right now yet.
Rare J names with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]- I am determined.
I’m going to forget the second middle for now.
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_u]Jericho[/name_u]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Jacoby[/name_m]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Jeremias[/name_m]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Jamari[/name_m]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_u]Jarrell[/name_u]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Geoffrey[/name_m] ([name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] is common, so maybe you’ll like the soft G sound with a less common [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] variant) I love that [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] means a man of [name_u]Peace[/name_u].
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m] / [name_m]Jedediah[/name_m] -always forget how to spell this
haha, you ARE determined! I love the religious significance of [name_u]Jericho[/name_u], but I don’t [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name, and I’m not really a fan of the others, sorry! I’m a big fan of European-feeling names, and international variants (also Bible names and surnamey names, although I’m not sure I want another surnamey choice with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]?). Thanks for all your many suggestions!
