Hello there!
[name_f]My[/name_f] grandfather recently passed and as my husband and I are getting closer to taking the plunge of trying to conceive, we have been “spitballing” names that we would like to keep in the family. I was personally never a huge fan of my grandfather’s name, [name_u]Roy[/name_u], but with his passing I have discovered a newfound tenderness for this name. He was a man of true humility and strength, both physical and spiritual. I truly want to carry on his legacy in a name for one of my future children. Any ideas on how to incorporate this name into options for girl and boy names? I am not opposed to keeping it as is for a middle name as long as the first name kind of balances it out.
I am not fond of “made up” names (for lack of a better term) but I do like unique and uncommon names, as well as timeless classics ( for example, some of my favorites are [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u], [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f], [name_m]Cecil[/name_m], [name_u]Bodhi[/name_u], [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_u]Tempest[/name_u], and [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]). None of these are set in stone, but just to kind of set the tone of what my taste in names entails, I hope this was somewhat helpful!
Any name combos or modern interpretations of [name_u]Roy[/name_u] would be greatly appreciated! Also, our last name is [name_u]Lee[/name_u], which is incredibly hard to prevent falling down the rhyming name rabbit hole!
