How do you say [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]?

Mun-roe
Mon-roe

[name_u]Ive[/name_u] been saying it as Mon-roe. Recently heard it said as mun-roe

Mon-roe because of [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] but I’ve heard the first name being pronounced mun-roe.
I prefer Mon-roe!

Funnily when talking about [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] I say ‘mun-roe’ however as a name I say Mon-roe.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] as a note. I feel like in my accent these two pronunciatins are interchangeable. And both would be used regularly based on the context around it.

mun-roe, both for the name and [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f]. it would sound weird in my accent to say mon-roe, like I was over-exaggerating to make fun.

eta, PPs have clarified the emphasis. OP, do you mean mun-ROE vs MON-roe? ive never heard [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] with the emphasis on the first syllable.
