Does [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] for a girl work with my other standbys like [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] and olive?I like [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] but I know it feels slightly masculine and modern .
One of my favorites for [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] is [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] as a middle [name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] or as a first [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
Thoughts on [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]? I’m even just hypothetically having a hard time deciding if it should stay on my list .

Sorry if that sounds cluttered and strange

It doesn’t feel masculine to me, just modern! I think it works with some of your names (Wren and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] especially) but I’d be a bit confused by sisters [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] - its modernity would really stand out. That said, people in real life aren’t as concerned with cohesive sibsets as people on nameberry are, and as long as the names aren’t drastically different in style, most people won’t even notice!
For your second question, I’m personally not a fan of [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]. I think it’s much too tied to the celebrity and so I just find it a bit odd. But the sound is definitely really lovely, so I get the appeal! Overall I prefer [name_u]Marlow[/name_u] / [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] / [name_u]Marlo[/name_u], for something with a nearly identical sound but without any strong modern associations.

Stylewise I would say no, it doesnt fit with your list. But to me thats not that big of a deal. If you like it I would add it to your list anyway
I think it works. Your other names feel fairly modern (even if they’re more ‘classically feminine’), and the [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] association helps it fit imo
I think it could work - it was a lot of the dominant letters of your others. I personally don’t warm to [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] - I would on someone - I just find it a little too much of a hip/celeb name, attached to [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f], and rather masculine so it wouldn’t get to the top for me. I agree, with PP, I prefer [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u], [name_u]Harlow[/name_u] or [name_u]Harper[/name_u].
