[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] nn [name_m]Monty[/name_m]
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] nn [name_m]Shep[/name_m]
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u]
[name_m]Roman[/name_m]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m]
[name_u]Cai[/name_u]
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
Rumor
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kai[/name_u]
These are also on my list! [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] them!
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], nn [name_m]Shep[/name_m]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] (Prefer [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] spelling, nn [name_u]Rafe[/name_u])
[name_u]Cai[/name_u] (as a nn for [name_m]Caius[/name_m])
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m], nn [name_u]Kai[/name_u] (I like this, I just am not sure about using the K spelling for the nn, but I don’t know if [name_f]Chi[/name_f] would work)
I think [name_m]Roman[/name_m] would make a good mn for most of these. Prefer it in the middle spot.
Rumor is perhaps asking for trouble, no? But aside from the word association, I think it’s alright.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite off your list is [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m]. Beautiful name, and adorable nickname.
I don’t like [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], though, at least not for a boy. It sounds totally like a girls name to me (even though it’s technically unisex), so I’d avoid that one. Maybe consider an alternative like [name_m]Valentino[/name_m]?
[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] nn [name_m]Monty[/name_m] - very cute, but makes me think of dogs, and the creepy guy on the Simpsons
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] nn [name_m]Shep[/name_m] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u], very cute! I prefer it spelled [name_m]Sheppard[/name_m], but either works
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u] - I like, but I think most people would see it as feminine
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]! So handsome!
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] - I like, but would not use unless I was religious
[name_u]Cai[/name_u] - nms
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] - Cute, but nms
Rumor - Dislike, would not work well on a kid
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kai[/name_u] - Again, nms
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]. I had [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] on my list for a while; and I think it would work just as well the other way around - [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m]. As for [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], maybe [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] or [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]?
[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] nn [name_m]Monty[/name_m] - like!
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] nn [name_m]Shep[/name_m] - meh.
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u] - I like it.
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] - meh
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] - meh
[name_u]Cai[/name_u] - I prefer it spelled [name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] - like!
Rumor - dislike.
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kai[/name_u] - like.
I really like [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] from your list. I think [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] or [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_m]Allen[/name_m] sound really great together.
Montgomery nn Monty - Feels too stiff and crusty to me; Monty softens it, but I’m still not feeling it.
Shepherd nn Shep - Love! Shepherd is soft but manly, a perfect choice. And NN Shep is so cute and scruffy.
Valentine - This maybe could work as a middle, but as a first there is the inevitable {amazed look} + “Valentine!?”
Roman - I like this a lot. I have a bad association with the name, but disregarding that, it is nice. I prefer Ruman : )
Raphael - O how I love the name Raphael! It’s so mediaeval and romantic, and reminds me of the painter.
Cai - I like this, but prefer Kai.
Conrad - I don’t like this name, but I can’t pinpoint why.
Rumor - No. It is too much of a word, and a negative one at that. Ruman, as I mentioned earlier, is a good alternative.
Malachi nn Kai - Yes! A very good name, and NN Kai makes it simple and beach-y.
Middles {all purpose}:
James
Jude
Charles
Louis
Piers/Pierce
Gabriel
William
Damian
Benedict
[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] nn [name_m]Monty[/name_m] - Makes me think of [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] [name_m]Burns[/name_m] and [name_m]Monty[/name_m] Python.
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] nn [name_m]Shep[/name_m] - I think it’s a really nice, uncommon, solid name. [name_m]Shep[/name_m] is an adorable nickname too!
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u] - I think this could make a really charming middle name for a boy.
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] - I never really liked this one.
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] - [name_u]Love[/name_u].
[name_u]Cai[/name_u] - I find it to be too short on it’s own
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] - Eh… I don’t like how the two syllables sound next to each other.
Rumor - Ugh. What an awkward word name.
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kai[/name_u] - Now that’s a good [name_u]Kai[/name_u]. And [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] is really cool.
[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] ([name_m]Monty[/name_m])- seems kind of like a joke name to me. Much too western to get a green light where I’m from… plus I know a few dogs with this name. It works for the guy on [name_m]Say[/name_m] Yes to the Dress [name_f]Atlanta[/name_f], but it wouldn’t work here, and it’s nms.
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] ([name_m]Shep[/name_m])- I have a major shepherding obsession, but I don’t like [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] as a name.
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u]- [name_f]Lovely[/name_f], but I’d be afraid it’s a bit too romantic for many to pass off in real life.
[name_m]Roman[/name_m]- Awesome, strong, and underused! I love this!
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m]- SO handsome! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. I think [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] is great, too.
[name_u]Cai[/name_u]- eeh, not loving it. I used to like [name_u]Kai[/name_u] a lot, but I’ve outgrown it. I think [name_m]Caius[/name_m] is much more handsome.
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]- This is great! I love it, it’s very unexpected.
Rumor- er, nope. I have nothing positive to say about Rumor as a name, sorry.
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] ([name_u]Kai[/name_u])- It’s an okay name, but it’s not for my cup of tea.
I really like [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] nn [name_m]Shep[/name_m], [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kai[/name_u] from your list
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] are great, and I love how the nicknames are more playful than the full names. [name_f]My[/name_f] one year old is [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], nickname [name_m]Rad[/name_m], so I obviously think it’s a fabulous option. I also like [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] from your list; it’s unexpected, at least where I live.
[name_f]My[/name_f] son is [name_m]Raphael[/name_m], so I think that’s seriously a fabulous choice! I get mixed reactions, but people my age (20-30s) seem to really like it. I really like [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] from your list as well.
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] is my fav. I would pair it with the middle name [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]…[name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m].
[name_m]Rafael[/name_m] spelled with an f is second. I like the nickname [name_f]Rafa[/name_f]. I also think it could stand on its own, but if you want a middle name [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] [name_u]Kai[/name_u] could work.
yay…
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] nn [name_m]Shep[/name_m]

[name_u]Cai[/name_u]
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
