Month names?

I’ve recently fallen in love with the name [name_u]August[/name_u], but I’m wondering if a child would need to be born in that month in order for the name to not seem goofy. Maybe it’s just because I have a cousin who was named [name_u]June[/name_u] and born in [name_u]June[/name_u], but I’ve always just thught that was the rule with month names. What are your opinions on this? Can a boy named [name_u]August[/name_u] be born in [name_u]January[/name_u], or would that seem weird? Thanks!

[name_u]August[/name_u] became a name after emperor [name_m]Augustus[/name_m]. As it was a name before it was a month, I think it’s fine for an [name_u]August[/name_u] to be born whenever.

I love [name_u]August[/name_u] and I don’t see why it matters when they were born. As renrose said [name_u]August[/name_u] was named after [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] [name_m]Caesar[/name_m] just as [name_f]July[/name_f] was named after [name_m]Julius[/name_m].
