I have a new “names for this type of girl” thing going on.
I can’t help noticing that a lot of the threads describing girls to name have tiny, adorable, big-eyed little micro-girls. I don’t mean that it a mean way, but they’re usually quite young and lots of talk about how cute and sweet they are.
So hit me up with some names for a 6’ foot tall 20 year old with smoldering eyes and a smirk, who doesn’t tweeze her eyebrows and enjoys cage-fighting and running through the forest with her pair of wolfhounds.
Looking for names that suggest a sort of powerful, dark elegance.
[name_f]Morrigan[/name_f]… [name_f]Ravenna/name_f… maybe [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f]? I can’t decide what fits. [name_f]Raziela[/name_f] and [name_f]Ursula[/name_f] I go back and forth on, the first seems a bit glittery and the second seems maybe actually a bit too sweet.
“Warrior queens” instantly calls to mind [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f], Gwenllian and [name_f]Artemisia[/name_f]/[name_f]Artemesia[/name_f]. Others that kind of fit:

I kind of love [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Morgana[/name_f], [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f], and [name_f]Artemesia[/name_f] especially. I wouldn’t have thought of [name_f]Artemesia[/name_f] for this though and that’s a great suggestion.
Nimue is an interesting one because it evokes mythological imagery but it has a lighter sound…? Or I’m insane.
I wish I could use [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f].
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is so great.
[name_f]Saffron[/name_f] I like in itself but wouldn’t have thought of for this, now I’m going to be looking at it in a different way.
I agree that it has a soft sound, but to me Nimue feels very…dark purple? And stormy. Could have something to do with the way she was portrayed as a hot evil sorceress on [name_m]Merlin[/name_m].
I know a little [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] who is adorable and super girly, (goes by [name_f]Nixie[/name_f]!) so I don’t see myself using it. But it’s got the fiery image that I can see where it popped up. Thanks!

I watch [name_u]Orange[/name_u] Is The [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_m]Black[/name_m] and when I read “6’ foot tall 20 year old with smoldering eyes and a smirk” [name_u]Alex[/name_u] Vause came to mind, although she doesn’t meet all of the criteria (pretty sure she’s not 6 feet or 20 years old).

I thought of another one: Viatrix. Like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] but more of a BAMF.
And wow, how did I not think of [name_f]Sybella[/name_f] before? I guess to me it’s more mysteriously yellow than brooding and warlike, but it definitely fits the image of the 6’ girl you described, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I have a similar type list called ‘scary big sister names’. Like surely everybody had a friend growing up who had an intimidating teenage sister? Haha it’s like everything I aim to be
I love that these are mostly bold, strong feminine names! Not many unisex names here and it’s refreshing! I [name_f]HOPE[/name_f] my baby girl is going to be feisty and fiery - just not towards her parents right?
