Maybe I’m just absolutely crazy, but I had the thought of [name_f]Moon[/name_f] for a girl… and I just can’t get it out of my mind! Personally, I think it’s absolutely beautiful. The connection to space and astrology is something I especially love too.
Was curious to know what some of you on here thought? You probably won’t sway my love for it, but I’d like to here your thoughts anyway! Also, what middle name(s) would you pair with it?

I really like [name_f]Moon[/name_f], but only as a middle name.
I love names with astrology/space vibes too, but I feel like [name_f]Moon[/name_f] is a bit “out there”, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. At least as a first name (I could see it as a middle name).
Family members of mine knew a Moonbeam, and after he grew up, he made the decision to change his name.
Other suggestions with the same vibe:
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]
[name_f]Dawn[/name_f]
[name_f]Nova[/name_f]
[name_u]Sky[/name_u]/[name_u]Skylar[/name_u]
[name_u]Sunny[/name_u]
[name_f]Snow[/name_f]
[name_u]Echo[/name_u]
[name_u]Calypso[/name_u]
I can totally see the attraction, but maybe it’s a bit too much as a first name. I prefer it as a middle name, but it could definitely work as a first name too.
I think it makes a wonderful middle, as it’s unusual but has some gorgeous imagery and associations. As a first I think it’s a bit too much, and my biggest worry would be the term moon/mooning. It really sounds like a phrase or command as a first. Some middle suggestions:
[name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Valencia[/name_f]
[name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
I agree with the posters who said it works better as a middle name, and it also made me think of mooning.
Maybe it could be a nickname to something? [name_f]Mona[/name_f] for example.
I’d go for a feminine and long middle name, something like [name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], [name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] etc
I could see it as a name for a fictional character or used as a middle name for a real person. However, as a first name…not so much. It is a fun word but I don’t think of it as a name.
I love [name_f]Moon[/name_f] as a middle name, it has the right quirky word name feel to make a traditional first name shine. But in the first name slot, I just don’t think there’s any good reason to opt for [name_f]Moon[/name_f] over [name_f]Luna[/name_f].
I prefer [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], or [name_f]Selena[/name_f]. I can see [name_f]Moon[/name_f] as a middle for sure, but for me it seems a bit guilty pleasure for a first.
I think i prefer it in the middle but i love the feeling and meaning of it. I think a girl or a boy would rock it. [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] moon:) [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] moon. Also depends on the length of the last name.

Personally id put with a more common long middle to balance it out. [name_f]Moon[/name_f] [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
