We have two children with very classic names ([name_m]Daniel[/name_m] & [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]) but this time around I would like something less strict in lack of better words, but not extremely modern or creative either. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband is all American while I’m half Swedish so I’d prefer a name that works fairly well in Swedish as well (yeah I know, not too easy for your guys to know anyway…)
These are some of the names on our list, any feedback or other suggestions?
Thanks for the suggestions. Many of them doesn’t work due to huge families on both sides. We have [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] on our list already, I like [name_u]Finn[/name_u] a lot too but I’m not sure about it…
I love the name [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] with your kids names.
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is one of my favorites but is too similar to [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], imo.
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] sounds beautiful.
I don’t know if you’ve seen this list but it might be of use to you.
I think something like [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m], [name_m]Gordon[/name_m] or [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] would also be sweet with [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] & [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].
Or maybe [name_m]Forrest[/name_m], [name_m]Walter[/name_m] or [name_m]Cormac[/name_m].
I love [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] with [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
I would suggest [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]. [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] would be the cutest!
With your kids’ names I like [name_u]Milo[/name_u], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] is cool but seems quite out there compared to [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], not that that necessarily matters.
I’d suggest [name_m]Henry[/name_m] over [name_m]Harvey[/name_m]. Henry seems more cross cultural, and a better match with Eleanor and Daniel. Other suggestions: [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u].
A name with an ‘n’ would tie all of them together nicely, as [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] both have audible ‘n’ 's in their names. So, for that, I would pick [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] as #1 and [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] for #2. [name_u]Credence[/name_u] does fit the above category, but I am not a fan of the name at all, to be honest.
Another option is to go with [name_f]El[/name_f]- or -el names (DaniEL, ELeanor), so I would chose [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] and [name_u]Axel[/name_u] from your list, in this case. I also like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] here, too, per another commenter’s suggestion
I love [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] but it might be a littke too similar to [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].
Oscar, [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], and [name_u]Milo[/name_u] are all terrific options.
Jordan and [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] feel a little too modern/trendy imo
Ezra and [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] feel too mismatched.
Credence, [name_u]Axel[/name_u], [name_m]Harvey[/name_m], and [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] definitely strike the right chords, just not my personal taste (which in no way makes them bad!)
God, I can’t even believe I’m awake at this time but thank you for all great suggestions and feedback. I’ve added a few names that I will discuss with my husband (like [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], [name_u]Jasper[/name_u]).
Many of you suggested names of my siblings which is fun, but also makes them impossible for us to use.
I really love [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], [name_u]Ezra[/name_u], [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] from your list! Here’s some suggestions based off of your list
