So I’ve been struggling to love girl names for almost a year now. [name_f]My[/name_f] boy name style is soft but masculine ([name_m]Anson[/name_m], [name_m]Linus[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_u]Robin[/name_u] (b), [name_u]Linden[/name_u], [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], [name_m]Heath[/name_m], & [name_m]Osmond[/name_m]/Oswald); however the few girls names I have on my list don’t seem to have a major theme so it’s difficult to search for names based on that!
Here are the ones that have stayed on my list and fluctuate from like to love often:
[name_f]Do[/name_f] any names come to mind when you see these? I also like [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] but that was veto’d by DH. I appreciate the fresh view points and I am dying to fall in love with something new!
I love your boys names, and I definitely see the similarities in their style.
I feel like [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] from you list is very similar style to your boys, and possibly [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. Soft, old fashioned in and subtle, gentle way. Somewhat unusual, but not remotely flashy. More of a in their own unnoticed corner sort of unusual.
So, after all that, I’m going to try and suggest some I’d see as sisters to [name_f]Marceline[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and your boys.
Personally I can see quite a bit of overlap in your favourites. I think the girls names you listed continue the same less than popular names, leaning towards traditional/classic but a bit eclectic, and soft but strong. [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] stands out a bit, but I think it fits well with [name_m]Heath[/name_m], [name_u]Linden[/name_u] and [name_u]Robin[/name_u]! And the nickname [name_u]June[/name_u] works with all your names. The same for [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - it’s a little different to the rest but works with [name_m]Heath[/name_m], [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. And again, [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] fits with all.
You have got heaps of wonderful suggestions so sorry for any repeats!!
I’m overwhelmed with all the BEAUTIFUL names on theses list thank you all for taking the time there’s so many I hadn’t thought of or heard before which is exactly what I was looking for!
Your list of girls’ names gives me elegant and indie vibes. Like the picture your girl list evokes for me is a princess wandering through an enchanted forest. Another trend I notice is that all but one of them are Latin or Greek, with [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] ([name_u]French[/name_u] origins) being the exception. So with those observations in mind, here are some other names you might like:
