Morris?

We’re expecting our third child. We have two boys, Zeller [name_m]Baird[/name_m] ([name_m]Zel[/name_m]) and [name_m]Cashel[/name_m] Carr ([name_m]Cash[/name_m].) They’re pretty unusual names and I’m finding it hard to make a sibset. I find that I really like [name_m]Morris[/name_m]? Seems fairly underused? Does it work with my two boys? Our last name sort of sounds like [name_u]Falcon[/name_u].

Nicknames I was thinking for [name_m]Morris[/name_m]: [name_u]Mo[/name_u], [name_m]Mose[/name_m], Mossy, [name_m]Moss[/name_m]

Middle names I’m considering:
[name_u]Lake[/name_u]
[name_f]Holiday[/name_f]
Meridian
[name_m]Midnight[/name_m]
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m]
[name_u]Lee[/name_u]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Moon[/name_f]

I also like the first names [name_m]Berkeley[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Burke[/name_m] Or [name_u]Lee[/name_u]) and [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Bo[/name_u], [name_f]Ro[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosy[/name_f].)

Any combos you like? Feedback about the sibset? Nicknames I haven’t thought of?

When I think of [name_m]Morris[/name_m], I think of [name_u]Maurice[/name_u], which is a rather dated name where I’m from ([name_m]New[/name_m] [name_f]England[/name_f]); not at all a likely sibling of the contemporary Zeller and [name_m]Cashel[/name_m]. However, [name_m]Zel[/name_m], [name_m]Cash[/name_m], and [name_m]Mose[/name_m] or [name_u]Mo[/name_u] do sound great, so if you plan to mostly use nicknames, the older-sounding [name_m]Morris[/name_m] shouldn’t be a problem. For your middles, I like [name_m]Morris[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] best.

I think so, if you’ll be more on the nickname train. [name_m]Morris[/name_m] actually isn’t dated for me yet, as I know a 15 year old [name_m]Morris[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Morris[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] “[name_m]Mose[/name_m]” goes the best. I’d actually stick away from [name_m]Moss[/name_m] as a nickname because of The IT Crowd, more as a “just in case” instead of “bad association”.

I like [name_m]Morris[/name_m] with your other kids… I’d probably use [name_u]Mo[/name_u] or [name_m]Morey[/name_m] as a nn.

Other ideas:
[name_m]Meyer[/name_m]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_m]Monty[/name_m]
[name_u]Emory[/name_u]
[name_u]Bentley[/name_u]

I think [name_m]Berkeley[/name_m] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] is a standout and I really like [name_m]Burke[/name_m] as a nickname. [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] would work in the first name spot too.

I think [name_m]Morris[/name_m] is a good name to go with Zeller and [name_m]Cashel[/name_m].

I like the combos [name_m]Morris[/name_m] [name_m]Berkeley[/name_m] and [name_m]Morris[/name_m] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m]

I like [name_m]Morris[/name_m] a lot! [name_u]Mo[/name_u] and [name_m]Moss[/name_m] are both great nicknames. I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] too. [name_m]Morris[/name_m] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] and [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] [name_u]Lake[/name_u] are probably my favorite combos.

[name_m]Morris[/name_m] seems pretty dated to me in comparison with the rest of the sibset. I really like the idea of [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] nn [name_u]Bo[/name_u] with [name_m]Zel[/name_m] and [name_m]Cash[/name_m].
