Year 3: Our family decides to take a big vacation. We head to [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] for the summer to explore the historic streets and enjoy the beach. The twins travel well and have a blast playing in the water.
Year 4: [name_m]Erik[/name_m]'s youngest brother is getting married. [name_m]Erik[/name_m] is asked to be the best man, which he graciously accepts. The ceremony is held in the summer on the beach, and the twins [2] are the flower girls.
Year 5: [name_m]Erik[/name_m]'s best friend from high school, [name_m]Mark[/name_m], comes to live with us after a nasty divorce. His three kids come with him— two boys and a girl. [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] [name_m]Nikolai[/name_m] is the oldest at age nine, [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Genesis[/name_u] is six, and [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] is four years old. Things are a bit cramped, but [name_m]Mark[/name_m] and his family are respectful, and the kids all get along for the most part. We let [name_m]Mark[/name_m] and the boys sleep in the guest bedroom, and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] shares a room with [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. They end up staying for about six months before [name_m]Mark[/name_m] gets the divorce straightened out and finds a house to live in.
Year 6: We decide to renovate our house to make more space. We decide to clear out a room upstairs so that both of the twins can have their own room, and we convert the dining room downstairs to a playroom.
Year 7: [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [5] wins a 1st place trophy in a martial arts competition. What was once a passing interest has now become a serious hobby, and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] says that she would like to keep competing.
Year 8: I get a job offer at a hospital in [name_u]California[/name_u], so our little family decides to pack up and move out west. We find a beautiful home in Pasadena that meets all of our needs. The girls love it, because it has a pool and there’s a park right down the street.
Year 9: I decide to get a tattoo. I get a rose and a violet tattooed on my right shoulder blade in honour of [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]'s middle name and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]'s first.
Year 10: We find out we’re expecting a baby boy! He is born a month early, so he’s small and fragile, but he gains his strength quickly, and is soon allowed to come home. We name him [name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_m]Victor[/name_m]. He has his father’s black hair, but his dark brown eyes are closer in shade to mine.
Year 11: [name_m]Erik[/name_m]‘s grandfather passes away and leaves him with a large inheritance. Instead of spending it immediately, we decide to break the money up evenly and put it into the kids’ college savings account.
Year 12: Since our family has gotten bigger, we decide it’s time to get a new family car, to make things easier. We get a black [name_u]Lexus[/name_u] NX SUV.
Year 13: [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] [11] wins a gymnastics competition. She does exceptionally well on the balance beam, and she is able to move on from regional competition to compete state-wide.
Year 14: The kids beg for a pet, so finally we give in and get them a puppy. He’s a [name_m]German[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] mix. The kids all have a different name in mind, but finally they agree to name him [name_u]Max[/name_u].
Year 15: [name_m]Erik[/name_m]'s middle brother passes away in a sudden accident. Due to some exigent circumstances, we end up gaining full custody of his 2 year old son. His name is [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Greyson[/name_m], and he has bright blonde hair and blue eyes. It takes [name_m]Jack[/name_m] a while to adjust to the new living arrangement on top of losing a parent, but before long, he fits right in.
Year 16: The hospital I work at closes down. A lot of employees are left with no jobs, and I happen to be one of them. Work in the field is hard to find, so I don’t end up finding a job for the rest of the year. With only on income, times are a bit more difficult than usual, but [name_m]Erik[/name_m] and I manage to make it work.
Year 17: By a stroke of luck, an old friend from work and I decide to start up our own medical practice. We specialise in neurology, and the business picks up very well.
Year 18: [name_m]Erik[/name_m] injures his back on the job, and needs surgery. He’s out of work for a long while, but since I have a job again, things aren’t so bad. [name_m]Erik[/name_m]'s surgery is a success, and I take a few weeks off of work to help him at home while he recovers. Before long, he’s healthy and ready to get back to work.
Year 19: We decide to move to the Atlantic coast, to be closer to family. We move to a suburb in [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], to a two story house with a big yard for the kids to play in.
Year 20: We decide to take our first big vacation with all of the kids. We decide to travel out of the United States and take a tour of Europe.

Year 1: When we returned from our honeymoon, I discovered I was pregnant! We were in shock as we were not prepared to have children yet. Year 3: I’ve had my first tattoo since the day I turned 18; a ladybug on my wrist for good luck. This year I decided to get another one on my ankle, this time a tiny pair of pointe shoes.

Year 4: With three girls already, we weren’t planning on having another one for a couple more years. However God had a different plan when we welcomed an unexpected baby girl this year! Year 7: This year I posted a video featuring the older two girls dancing only to receive a phone call a few days later offering them a place on a TV show! The girls play minor characters on a Disney series for a couple months and have a blast!

Year 8: Our family just keeps getting bigger! Another unexpected pregnancy has aroused us but this time we add some more blue to our house. [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] was born making our ratio into a manageable 5:2.

Year 9: We attended a wedding this year for my baby sister [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] who was getting married! The family had a great time and it was wonderful seeing [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] so happy with her new husband!

Year 10: Since our family keeps getting larger, we decided it was high time to turn in our now small mini-van for a large bus like car. We named our new van “The Beast”. It holds 12 people and kinda looks like a creepy kidnapper van. Oh well, I guess we’ll have to decorate it. I’ll get the rhinestones!

Year 11: We decided early on in our marriage, after welcoming [name_f]Moriah[/name_f] into our family, that we wanted our house to be a mix of biological and adopted children. This year we got in touch with an agent who matched us with a teen mother expecting twins. The girl didn’t want anything to do with the twins. Thankfully we did so [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] and [name_f]Talia[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] were welcomed into the [name_m]Norman[/name_m] house.

Year 12: Another year, another pregnancy! This time another girl! What are we gonna do with this much pink? We still couldn’t be happier to welcome [name_f]Nola[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]. The new ratio is now 8:2.

Year 13: We figured since giving birth to boys was proving to be difficult that we’d just go ahead and adopt again! Actually our agent matched us up with an adorable boy from Haiti about a year ago and we were finally able to bring [name_m]Torin[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] back to our house in [name_f]Virginia[/name_f].

Year 14: We decide it’s high time to take this big family on a great vacation. So, we boarded a cruise ship and headed off to the Caribbean. The kids had a blast and the parents were actually able to relax a bit. It was fun for everyone!

Year 15: [name_m]Marcus[/name_m]’ best friend from college, [name_m]Luke[/name_m]'s house tragically burned down leaving his family of four without a home. [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] of course invites him, his wife [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], and their two kids to stay with us. His kids, [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] and [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] are ages 4 and 6. The kids take some time but soon love their new “siblings”. The family stays with us for about six months.

Year 16: After [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and his family leaves we realize that our family needs some extra space. We add on a section to our house for the older kids so they can have bigger rooms. The younger ones get their rooms.

Year 17: I am assuming now that my birthing days are behind me. However, we still want more children to fill the space as the older ones start to leave. We are very lucky to adopt triplets this year! Thankfully one is a boy. We welcome [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Laurence[/name_u], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].

Year 18: With the new triplets, even the added on part of our house isn’t big enough anymore. We decide to move to a huge house in [name_u]California[/name_u] so we can be closer to [name_f]Moriah[/name_f], [name_u]Eden[/name_u], and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] as they venture out west for college.

Year 19: One last adoption to make our family complete: a last pink bundle named [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Lux[/name_f]. What a family we have now!

Year 20: Screw [name_u]California[/name_u]! We miss the Atlantic ocean and move across country over to [name_f]Florida[/name_f]. I’m sure the girls are happy that we’re that faraway anyways.
