We want to have another baby very soon and wanted to know what you guys thought about my list? What you think about the names individually and what you think of them paired with my son’s name [name]Leo[/name].
[name]Felix[/name]- too much cat with [name]Leo[/name]?
[name]Ambrose[/name]- too girly?
[name]Sebastian[/name]- doesn’t sound great with our last name pronounced [name]Win[/name].
[name]Augustus[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name]- too short with our last name? But probably my favorite
[name]Atticus[/name]
Haha, I’m thinking the same things you mentioned about most of the names.
[name]Felix[/name]- does seem like too much of a cat name with [name]Leo[/name]
[name]Ambrose[/name]- yes, sounds too feminine
[name]Sebastian[/name]- yeah, not the best with your last name.
[name]Augustus[/name] – This is a cool name and [name]Augustus[/name] [name]Win[/name] sounds really distinguished. Maybe too distinguished though?
[name]Rhys[/name]- It is short, but I kind of like the combo anyway.
[name]Atticus[/name] – Great literary namesake. Would you use the nn [name]Gus[/name]? B/c [name]Gus[/name] and [name]Leo[/name] would make such a great sibset! It matches so well without reminding me of cat names. Definitely my favorite option!
[name]Felix[/name]- It does seem a bit too matchy matchy with [name]Leo[/name] on the cat names
[name]Ambrose[/name]- I would use it more as a middle maybe if you think its too feminine
[name]Sebastian[/name]- I really love this name and I don’t see it as a problem with your last name, maybe [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Ambrose[/name] [name]Win[/name], the in and an sounds are different enough for it to be fine in my opinion
[name]Augustus[/name]- This is one of my all-time favourite names and [name]Gus[/name] and [name]Leo[/name] would be a cute sib-set as would [name]August[/name] and [name]Leo[/name], it’s such a great name!
[name]Rhys[/name]- It is pretty short, but so is [name]Leo[/name] and you were fine with that then, so if you really like it, what’s the problem
[name]Atticus[/name]- I like this name too, not as much as [name]Augustus[/name] but it’s still a great name, ever since you mentioned cat names I just keep thinking ‘Catticus’ which is weird…
Thanks for the feedback. I do love [name]Augustus[/name] and I’ve gone into detail on another thread about why I hesitate. TLDR version is my husband’s name is [name]Caesar[/name] so I have reservations for obvious reasons.
So you guys don’t think [name]Rhys[/name] win is too abrupt? [name]Leo[/name] at least has two syllables.
My favorites from your list are [name]Augustus[/name] and [name]Atticus[/name]. However, I really prefer [name]August[/name] with [name]Leo[/name] because it’s more laid back. [name]Leo[/name] and [name]August[/name] sound very natural together. I love it.
Thanks for the suggestions of [name]August[/name], I would name a baby that in a heartbeat but my husband doesn’t like it. Plus other people have mentioned that it sounds a bit like [name]August[/name] Wind.
I like [name]Rhys[/name] the best with [name]Leo[/name] and with your last name. [name]One[/name] syllable first names can work with one syllable last names in the right instances!
I really like the combo [name]Rhys[/name] [name]Augustus[/name] My last name actually starts with an N though, so the initials would be [name]RAN[/name]. Is that bad? Also, do you think there are too many s sounds?
[name]Felix[/name]-Never really liked this name
[name]Ambrose[/name]-Definitely too girly
[name]Sebastian[/name]- I love this! [name]Sebastian[/name] & [name]Leo[/name] sound like an incredible sibset. And I think it sounds fine with your last name
[name]Augustus[/name]-I prefer [name]August[/name]! I love [name]August[/name] & [name]Leo[/name].
[name]Rhys[/name]- I love this too!
[name]Atticus[/name]-If I have a boy, he will be named [name]Atticus[/name]. [name]Love[/name] it. Great list overall!
I love [name]Leo[/name], it is my son’s name though, so I am biased.
[name]Felix[/name] is also one of my favourites, partner doesn’t like it since he actually did have a cat named [name]Felix[/name] growing up, so it’s all cat to him. I guess it is a little matchy with [name]Leo[/name], although i’m reluctant to admit.
[name]Ambrose[/name] I do like, and just realised that in NZ, he’d probably get the NN Bro, which is kind of funny but the complete opposite of how the name in its entirety comes across. I think it sounds good with [name]Leo[/name], sharing the “O” sound is a nice tie.
[name]Sebastian[/name] I also love, It’s my [name]Leo[/name]'s middle name. I don’t think [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Win[/name] sounds terrible. But agree that its not the best match.
[name]Augustus[/name] seems like a lot of name next to [name]Leo[/name]. I might prefer [name]August[/name].
[name]Rhys[/name] [name]Win[/name] actually works for me. I can see [name]Leo[/name] & [name]Rhys[/name] as brothers.
[name]Atticus[/name] [name]Win[/name] now, that’s a cool name. Works as a sibling name too.
[name]Felix[/name]- I like it! I’m too young for [name]Felix[/name] the [name]Cat[/name], so I don’t think of it, and with [name]Leo[/name], while I “get” the cat connection, I don’t think it’s worth worrying about.
[name]Ambrose[/name]- I don’t think it’s girly, but I do think it would be a hard name to carry. I like this with the nickname [name]Amos[/name]
[name]Sebastian[/name]- I like [name]Sebastian[/name] very much, but I agree, it doesn’t flow very well with your surname.
[name]Augustus[/name]- I like [name]Augustus[/name]… I like [name]August[/name] and [name]Augustin[/name] more, though. It’s nice.
[name]Rhys[/name]- I think it’s fine with your last name. I know a bunch of people with 1 syllable first names and last names. Not a big deal, imo. It’s better than something that ends in N (like [name]Ron[/name] [name]Win[/name]). I think you’re good for this! It’s not my style though.
[name]Atticus[/name]- This is one of my 2 least favourite English names on the planet.
My favourite with [name]Leo[/name] is [name]Sebastian[/name], or [name]Felix[/name].
I like [name]Augustus[/name], nn Auggie. I think [name]Gus[/name] [name]Win[/name] sounds odd together. I do like [name]Rhys[/name] and [name]Atticus[/name]. I think [name]Felix[/name] would work too.
