My brutally honest thoughts on your combos [Closed]

this is an old combo that i’ve been thinking about recently. could you give me honest thoughts on owen george? thanks!

@clair.de.lune

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] is so pretty, [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is so ‘normal’ that if she wants to go by her middle name, she would still have a beautiful name.

@rosefairiie

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is kind of hard to say, the flow is off, only on a few occasions do I like [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], and this isn’t one of them. the soft f and hard g make it hard for me to say.

@lilac.fairy

[name_f]Idalia[/name_f] [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] is ok, it doesn’t sound great, theres a lot of soft sounds, I would have made it [name_f]Idalia[/name_f] [name_f]Melody[/name_f] so even it out a bit.

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is gorgeous, classic, sleek and timeless, the only thing I will say about it is the flow feels cut off, like theres supposed to be more to the name. I think if you wanted to even out the sounds you could use [name_f]Rosalea[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. but otherwise its a beautiful combo

[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] doesn’t work at all, theres to many s sounds and their vibes are so matching its suffocating.

@billie_154

[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Opal[/name_f] is alright, I think [name_f]Opal[/name_f] could only be used as a second or third middle name (I am one of the people who think three middles could work) so it’s hidden, if that makes any sense.

[name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] is a hard no, [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] is what me and my mom use as a substitute for the f word and now I can only think of it as a swear word. [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] is beautiful though, I think [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] could be a nice substitute name for [name_u]Blythe[/name_u]

@Greyblue

[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] is beautiful, the uniqueness of [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] is nicely balanced with the classicness of [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f].

I say the same thing for [name_u]Indie[/name_u] [name_u]Florence[/name_u], [name_u]Indie[/name_u] has been a long time love of mine so it’s nice to see it getting some love

[name_m]Boone[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] doesn’t flow, [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Boone[/name_m] I think would sound nicer. and also, I just can’t see [name_m]Boone[/name_m] being used as a first name,

[name_u]Rocco[/name_u] [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] is almost cheating, I ADORE [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m], its so pretty and I’d prefer [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] [name_u]Rocco[/name_u] simply because I love [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] as a first name

@tori101

so can I just say that I love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f]? it’s so pretty and I loved that [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is being used. I hope she loves her name.

as a hypothetical sibling, I’d used [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_u]John[/name_u], I think something shorter would be best because [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is kind of short I would go with something like just [name_u]Kai[/name_u] for a brother for [name_f]Lilia[/name_f].

would [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] be an option? because [name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_u]John[/name_u] would be lovely with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f]

[name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_u]George[/name_u] so classic, i can see it working, but I think a little [name_u]Owen[/name_u] would grow to hate his name because there are so many Owen’s

@Indigoskies

[name_u]Ari[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Francie[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] are both adorable, [name_u]Ari[/name_u] and [name_f]Francie[/name_f] are classic yet haven’t been used as first names in so long that they work amazingly with [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]

[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Birdie[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u], and [name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] are all lovely, though I think [name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] would be better

Ooh can you give me your brutally honest thoughts on; [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_u]Jules[/name_u], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]? TIA!

@Strawberry.Bunny

[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_u]Jules[/name_u] is alright, I’m not sure if you think of it as a boy or a girl name so that might get a little confusing.

[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is beautiful, very thought threw and any girl would love to have it.

[name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] sounds made up, like you were undercover somewhere and someone asked for your first and middle name and you just kinda had to think of a name on the spot. it doesn’t flow nicely and doesn’t sound nice.

As much as I like the sound and meaning of Boone, I think you’re right about the flow in this case - and I would probably use Boone as a middle in a different combo!

This made me happy actually, as I love Balthazar too! Balthazar Rocco is cute!

Thank you for your thoughts!

I’d love to hear anything you have to say on [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] & [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]Kit[/name_u]!

Thank you! I came up with [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_u]Jules[/name_u] when I was coming with a new name for myself (I’m Agender) so I take that as a compliment. And yeah [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] doesn’t have the best flow, I might just go with [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. [name_m]Ty[/name_m]!

@Strawberry.Bunny of course

@Mary_Rose

I’m not a fan of [name_f]Alice[/name_f] as a first name, it’s so common that it’s kinda awful, [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is also so pretty that it’s almost a shame to not take advantage of it.

[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is odd, I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it, the vibes are completely off though so I don’t think it’s usable even though i am all down for mix-matched vibes

Ideas on [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], please?

@snowmaiden

[name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is very very classic, I’m trying not to be to mean here because I know your name is [name_u]Hazel[/name_u], but I really don’t like [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] as a first name, I think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] is better.

Thank you for responding! Firstly thank you for the praise for Lilia’s name that’s so sweet and I hope she likes her name but currently I think she’s too young to know if she likes her name! Fingers crossed she does :crossed_fingers:t4::crossed_fingers:t4:

Using [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] as a first name has really appealed to me I love [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] ‘Kit’ so it’s nice to see the praise thank you. I also love [name_u]Kai[/name_u] just [name_u]Kai[/name_u] but we have to have a biblical first name to coincide with Joseph’s (my partner) family tradition of boys having a biblical first name.

We have to use [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] & [name_u]John[/name_u] as they are really important honours.

[name_m]Can[/name_m] I ask another questing out of [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] & [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] which do you think works better? Thank you 🩷

[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] are both very unique, I do think [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] sounds like [name_u]Salmon[/name_u] so I wouldn’t use it. [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] is definitely better

Thank you!

In our community the names are commonplace my partner is [name_m]Black[/name_m] [name_f]British[/name_f] (East African descent) and my mother is Jewish with my dad being Irish/Scottish Catholic so these names are very everyday options really reflecting our heritage. We meet Malachi’s & Solomon’s regularly! But I have to say you’ve made [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] happy as he loves [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] tons and tons.

ok, this is gonna take a minute

[name_f]Pipaluk[/name_f] is odd, I don’t know if I like it or not, I’m pronouncing it Pippa-Luke so it doesn’t sound like a name to me, however, I love [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]

[name_f]Eira[/name_f] [name_u]Foxglove[/name_u] isn’t the best, I would go with just [name_f]Eira[/name_f] [name_u]Fox[/name_u], [name_u]Foxglove[/name_u] definitely doesn’t sound like a name

[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] is gorgeous, I love them both and they are so pretty

[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] is kind of cut off, like I would expect there to be another name after [name_f]Birdie[/name_f].

[name_u]Miles[/name_u] [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] is beautiful, but [name_u]Milo[/name_u] doesn’t make sense as a nickname to me

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Finch[/name_u] is awesome, I’m bias though because if my niece was a boy she would have be [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m].

[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u] isn’t my favorite. but I love [name_u]Kit[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]

[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_u]Charles[/name_u] is so handsome and amazing, I love [name_u]Nico[/name_u] as a nickname

thank you, pipaluk is mostly a gp name for me, and if i ever use it as an actual name it would definitely either be sylvie pipaluk or pippa sylvie. and also i pronounce it pippa-luck

same with foxglove is a gp and is a word name so I would either not use it at all or use it as a second name

I get what you mean, do you have any ideas for a 3rd middle?

Yes it was kinda one I threw in their at the last second as I changed it from Miles sparrow to Christopher sparrow. Christopher or Sebastian are my top 2 names if I actually have a kid

Thanks!
