My brutally honest thoughts on your combos [Closed]

so I’ve seen people make moodboards and stuff like that for other peoples combos and I think it’s really cool, but I’m not artistic at all.

but I am brutally honest (to the point I’ve been called mean), so if you want brutally honest opinions on your combos put them here. I will say, if you have fragile feelings don’t post her, I might accidentally hurt your feelings.

keep in mind, if i criticize your combos, I’m not meaning to be mean, it’s just my opinion, and feel free to defend you combos, I love a good debate.

Edit: if I forget about you, please post again.

Oooo, yay! I love some blunt feedback! I’ve just added [name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Fern[/name_u], and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f], so If you could share your brutally honest opinions, that would be amazing!

[name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] aren’t really balanced, the one syllable first name doesn’t really flow with the longer middle name. I would switch it around to [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f].

also [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] has a lot of hard R sounds and it kind of throws the flow off I would go with a different flower name.

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Fern[/name_u] is lovely, the flow is right and I might be a little bias because I have a cousin named [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] who I’m really close to. I really love [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], there are plenty of nicknames, and it’s very timeless

Thank you! I definitely see where you are coming from with [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]! I will pushback a bit against the flow of syllables, as I don’t see much difference between 1-3 and 3-1 syllable patterns. That’s just me though. I know we all have little nit-picky things about naming! Thank you again for being honest! I personally appreciate it more than overly positive feedback.

I used to prefer 1-3 syllable patterns until I started talking about names with my grandma, she made me love 3-1 syllable patterns.

and I’m glad I didn’t hurt your feelings, I was kind of scared I would

Could you please be brutally honest for [name_m]Slade[/name_m] [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] and [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_u]Sky[/name_u]?

Aw, that’s so cool that you have your grandma to discuss names with!

I’m a tough cookie :cookie:

[name_m]Slade[/name_m] [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] is awesome, its badass with a bit of class, I would love to meet a little [name_m]Slade[/name_m] [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m].

[name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_u]Sky[/name_u] is a little tricky, I like both names, but i don’t like them together. I think if you added another name inbetween, like [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_u]Sky[/name_u] it would work better, but just [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_u]Sky[/name_u] sounds very cut off and not finished if that makes sense.

3-1 vs 1-3 flow can vary greatly when considering the number syllables in the last name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought!

true, but generally, I don’t think it would work with most last names.

I love honest thoughts! [name_f]Do[/name_f] any of the names below stick out to you? Most people are too “kind” to say what they really think and then if it’s something you hadn’t considered, you might end up with a kid with initials PBJ

[name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_u]John[/name_u]
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_u]Anne[/name_u]
[name_u]Daniel[/name_u] [name_u]Joseph[/name_u]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (something)

[name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] feels a little backwards, I think [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] would flow better, other than that their all lovely,

That’s fair. It breaks my ocd pattern of male mn beginning with j haha

I’d love to see your thoughts on [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]!

I’d like to know what do you think of [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f]!

what are yours opinions on those combos?

[name_f]Idalia[/name_f] [name_f]Melanie[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]?

Interested in your feedback on [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Opal[/name_f] and [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_u]Blythe[/name_u]

I’d love your honest thoughts on [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_u]Indie[/name_u] [name_u]Florence[/name_u], [name_m]Boone[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and [name_u]Rocco[/name_u] [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] - some old combos I rediscovered! Would love to know if they’re worth reconsidering or chucking!

Ooh neat! I’d love your honest opinions on [name_u]Ari[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Francie[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]!

So I would love your honest thoughts on sibling sets? Would you provide that?

I have a daughter [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and hypothetically day dreaming about brother names (as the name [name_u]Rose[/name_u] for a sister is set in stone) so I’m wondering which brother name works best with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] (and potentially Rose)

[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]John[/name_u] ‘Kai’ my partner adores [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] which makes me love him for our hypothetical son

[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]John[/name_u] ‘Sol’

[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_u]John[/name_u] ‘Kit’

Which one do you think works best? Changing the rules slightly!!!

Thank you :two_hearts:
