My brutally honest thoughts on your combos [Closed]

Btw I’ve been pronouncing Niari nee-ar-ee. I have no idea if this is even a name, I just switched around the letters from the name [name_f]Nairi[/name_f], also from a girl I know.

@amalfi

ok, so with the girls I have no idea how to pronounce Lukne, [name_f]Liorit[/name_f], [name_f]Viera[/name_f], [name_f]Gabija[/name_f], and Zydre, but they look nice.

from your boy names I really don’t like Driller [name_u]Hayes[/name_u], it doesn’t sound nice and it it doesn’t look nice either

I think those are all Lithuanian girls names

I also don’t know how to say them

I’m gonna to assume that too

I also have this thread

Feel free to pick and choose whatever names to comment on (it is a really, really, really long list)

I think I’m going to save that for my after school project tomorrow, or if you let me, an entry for my name blog

I am perfectly okay with that.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] make sure I have some way to read it, because now I’m interested!

as @CattheBat13579 said, they’re mostly lithuanian names!!

i’m awful at writing out pronunciations but roughly they’d be:

luknė – luuk-nyey
liorit – lee-oh-reet
viera – rhymes with sierra
gabija – gah-bee-ya
žydrė – zie-dryey (first syllable rhyming with tie)

ooo! fun. i’d love to read your thoughts on any of these that inspire you… :ear_of_rice:

george victor
herschel robert
silas franklin
thatcher dean
rudy abner

flora beatrice
margaret june
willa caroline
elisabeth olive
louise dorothy

thank you much! :white_heart:

Thanks! [name_u]George[/name_u] is a family name, one I wanted to use but in the end, didn’t. In keeping with combining the Hebrew name as an American name for all of my list, [name_m]Avner[/name_m] (the Hebrew spelling of Abner) is just such a wonderful name. The other name I’ve always considered for [name_u]George[/name_u] is [name_m]Isaac[/name_m].

I thought long and hard about a Hebrew middle for [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]. (Yes, [name_f]Elisheva[/name_f] is the Hebrew name but it’s not as obvious as my other choices.) I love [name_u]Pascale[/name_u] for a girl, but I could see where it just might not mix with [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]. It was a hard one to figure out.

Please I really need an honest opinion :joy:
(Surname will be Frederick)

@emeraldsea

[name_m]Herschel[/name_m] is beyond dated, I don’t think it’ll ever be ready for a comeback, and I kind of hope it doesn’t, it really doesn’t sound very good.

[name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_u]Franklin[/name_u] is also very dated, but in a different way, it dated in the I’m surprised it’s a small child name because that sounds like the name of a great-grandfather it’s not bad, but also not good.

[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] is alright, not by favorite but it’s okay.

[name_u]Rudy[/name_u] [name_m]Abner[/name_m] is very odd, it doesn’t sound like a first and middle name, it sounds like a first and last name

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is actually on my list too, I love it!

[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] isn’t good, I’m biase and I know, [name_u]June[/name_u] was the name of the woman who tried to kill my mom. but in general, I don’t like the sound of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would be better.

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is GORGEOUS! it’s sleek and cool and very very modern

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f] doesn’t go with the other names, but I do like the way it sounds.

[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] would be better than [name_u]Louise[/name_u] [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]

@gabyy

[name_u]Sol[/name_u] [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] is very unique, it’s modern and I like [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] as a middle name for [name_u]Sol[/name_u].

[name_u]Lux[/name_u] [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] is so much better than [name_u]Sol[/name_u] [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f], Its very feminine and I can see a little girl growing up to love her name.

Oh this is fun!
[name_f]My[/name_f] current name crushes (they’ll probably be different in a week :sweat_smile:) are:

[name_f]Marceline[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] (maybe [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Marceline[/name_f]? But I like [name_u]Mars[/name_u] as a nn)

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Melrose[/name_f]

[name_m]Damien[/name_m] [name_u]Clifford[/name_u]

[name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
