Maybe [name]Camilla[/name] nn [name]Cami[/name] or [name]Cam[/name]? It seems that if she is following his tradition of dropping the middle name he should give her more say in the first name!
[name]Veronica[/name]
[name]Louisa[/name]/[name]Louise[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Cassandra[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
I hope those help!
Her List
[name]Colbie[/name] - I really like this name, its a very good unisex name, it’s really pretty for a girl.
[name]Cassidy[/name] - Hate this name.
[name]Mackenzie[/name] - My best friends name, really classic nice name, quite popular.
[name]Ariel[/name] - It’s okay, but I’d find it weird to meet anyone named [name]Ariel[/name] who didn’t have red hair.
[name]Taylor[/name] - I know way too many Taylors and never met a [name]Taylor[/name] that I liked. (bad connotation)
[name]Peyton[/name] - My cousins name, but never been fond of this name.
[name]Lacey[/name] - Hick sounding.
[name]Brooke[/name] - Too common
[name]Sawyer[/name] - I enjoy this name
Favourite names of her list: [name]Colbie[/name] and [name]Sawyer[/name]
His list
[name]Bernadine[/name] - Really? A guy wants to name his kid this? Clearly wants boys to stay away from her.
[name]Margaret[/name] - It’s a classic name. But nicknames like [name]Marge[/name] are not appealing. I prefer Margeaux a nice french twist.
[name]Jean[/name] - Boring
[name]Lucille[/name] - Nice name, but it probably will be shortened to [name]Lucy[/name] and might as well just name her that.
[name]Bernadette[/name] - Again… really wants boys to stay away from her.
[name]Dorothy[/name] - Cute, classic name. But ‘Dor’ as a short form doesn’t sound appealing.
[name]Colette[/name] - A lot like [name]Colbie[/name]? And I prefer [name]Colbie[/name]… they should come to an agreement with this one since [name]Colette[/name] and [name]Colbie[/name] are similar (I prefer [name]Colbie[/name])
[name]Vera[/name] - Another too old of a name
Overall don’t like any of his
I’d go with [name]Colbie[/name] for them, she should try and convince him that [name]Colette[/name] sounds a lot like [name]Colbie[/name]. I think they will be able to come to an agreement with that.
summercandy - Thank you so much, he finally relented. I showed him a few of these and a couple of [name]Colbie[/name] Caillat video’s online. He agreed the name can suit a girl. My cousin is so happy about her name being chosen.
My suggestions are :
[name]Georgina[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Juniper[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Dorinda[/name]
[name]Harriett[/name]
[name]Harlow[/name]
[name]Mabel[/name]
[name]Maria[/name]
[name]Marina[/name]
[name]Sophia[/name]
Sorry if there are any spelling errors im typing on a cellphone with small keys!! XX
Okay, what about they use [name]Lucille[/name] from his list and call her [name]Lucy[/name], which is a more modern nickname? Or maybe they could make some sort of compromise between [name]Colette[/name] and [name]Colbie[/name]? I dunno. I’m stumped.
Trying to think of some “in-betweens” that might go over with both of them. My first thought was [name]Cassandra[/name], which I saw in another post. Also, thinking:
[name]Carolina[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Eden[/name]
[name]Eliana[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Gwyneth[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Wren[/name]
[name]Geneva[/name]
They aren’t married. Therefore she makes the ultimate decision in choosing the baby’s name.
To be brutally honest, his list kicks her list in the butt. I think [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Dorothy[/name], [name]Vera[/name] and [name]Lucile[/name] are stunning.
They cannot find a compromise with an old name with a modern nickname. The way she put it was “if I’m never going to use it, why put it down on her birth certificate?”
Its becoming a problem.
