Ideally, I want something more old-fashioned and not too popular right now. I don’t have an issue with popularity but top 10 names are super popular here and I want something refreshing and that stands out (in a good way) from the crowd.

I would say most people, including myself would pronounce [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] as Cah-roh-line-ah as in the U.S. [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_f]Carolina[/name_f]. It is pretty and I havn’t heard it as a name before, I like it more than [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] or [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f].
Lol I am glad you are using [name_f]Evie[/name_f] as a nn…it doesn’t seem like much of a name to me personally and [name_f]Eva[/name_f]/[name_f]Eve[/name_f] sound like they could suit a woman in all stages of life.

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is my favourite ‘[name_f]Lily[/name_f]’ name by far. [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is okay too but other than that I am not really a fan of the name.
I’m from Australia and I’ve only heard of one [name_f]Maya[/name_f] (her name was spelt [name_f]Mia[/name_f]) and the name is supposed to be popular here too I believe. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is supposed to be popular too but the only ones I know are my friend (her middle name is [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]) and her grandmother whom she was named in honour of. Absoltely love the names [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Maya[/name_f] and [name_f]Savina[/name_f] (one I don’t hear often!)

@aza - I hadn’t thought of [name_f]Ada[/name_f], I don’t know why! I can’t use [name_u]Andy[/name_u] or [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] as a nickname, it’s the name of my SO’s ex, haha. I’d pronounce [name_f]Franca[/name_f] as [name_m]Frank[/name_m]-uh, too… I like the look of the name just not sure I like the sound.
@melncarl - I don’t hear [name_f]Eva[/name_f]/[name_f]Eve[/name_f] around here much but I’ll definitely keep an ear out for it and ask a friend that follows the local birth announcements. I don’t care for [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] but I did have [name_f]Ida[/name_f] on my list for a while.
