my someday son..

we’re having twin daughters due in january… and not even thinking about getting pregnant again anytime soon… but do hope eventually to have a little boy…
I’m really just curious to see what boy name you all would put with my girls’ names…
[name]Caoimhe[/name] [name]Ryann[/name] & Aibhlinn [name]Darcy[/name]
(prn: kee-vah & ave-linn)
the girls will be called by their middle names [name]Ryann[/name] & [name]Darcy[/name]…
I’d like to stick with the pattern of a very irish name (at this point, i don’t see how we could go any other way…).
i’d love it if he had a more traditional first name and a more contemporary middle name… i want something that isn’t too overly popular though…
also… [name]Aiden[/name] is out… my sister already used that for my nephew… it’s a bit too trendy for me these days, anyway…
ok… show me what you’ve got…

I think it would be cute to do and ABC thing and use a B name for your boy, maybe [name]Brogan[/name] or [name]Beacan[/name]. I don’t know anything about traditional Irish names, though… I also like [name]Killian[/name], [name]Lorcan[/name], [name]Ronan[/name], and [name]Seamus[/name]…

i don’t know many traditional irish names…but my son’s name is beckett reed and i think that combo would go great with your daughter’s!!

someone else already suggested it, but i [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Seamus[/name]!!
[name]Seamus[/name] [name]Killian[/name] is perfect!!

here are some ideas…

[name]Aengus[/name] ([name]Aonghus[/name])
[name]Dillon[/name], [name]Dylan[/name]
[name]Dermot[/name] ([name]Diarmaid[/name])
[name]Fergus[/name] ([name]Fearghas[/name])
[name]Finley[/name] (Fionnlagh)
[name]Gavan[/name], [name]Gavin[/name] ([name]Gabhan[/name])
[name]Kevin[/name], [name]Kevan[/name]
Lir, Llyr
[name]Patrick[/name] ([name]Padraig[/name])
[name]Pearce[/name], [name]Pierce[/name]
[name]Rory[/name] ([name]Ruairi[/name])
~a lot of the traditional versions have accents on certain letters (Se is actually spelled with a / on top of the “e”…I hope that makes sense)

[name]How[/name] about
Sorry for any repeats  [name]Love[/name] the girls names too.

My favorite Irish names are [name]Ciaran[/name], [name]Cian[/name], [name]Cillian[/name]/[name]Killian[/name], [name]Ronan[/name], [name]Riordan[/name], and my very favorite is Riobhardan (ri-var-dan).

I adore Celtic names, but unfortunately, my married name is very obviously Italian, so pairing it with uncommon, distinctly Irish names sounds weird. I could probably get away with something more common like [name]Ronan[/name] or [name]Fiona[/name], but I don’t think I could get away with Riobhardan.

I am in [name]England[/name] and have twin boys [name]Oscar[/name] and [name]Fintan[/name]. Hardly anyone here has heard of [name]Fintan[/name], those that do are the ones with strong Irish connections. I love the fact that my son generally goes by the name [name]Finn[/name] - which as we know is very popular at the moment, but that he has a more unusual version of it.

If you ask him what his name is, he will tell you its ‘[name]Fintan[/name]’ Its always [name]Fintan[/name] never [name]Finn[/name]!
