So I’ve been doing research on these names for a while. I’m Puerto Rican and I wanted to find names of my Puerto Rican and Caribbean culture, it took forever and it isn’t complete, but here’s my list so far, it’s mostly Spanish and Caribbean names but there’s some Basque and Catalan thrown in there too, plus a few names that are used widely by Latin communities~
I love so many of these but couldn’t pronounce any as beautifully as you did! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Amada[/name_f], [name_f]Amparo[/name_f], Azahar, Bélen, [name_f]Elodia[/name_f], [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f], [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f], Itziar, [name_f]Luz[/name_f], [name_f]Maite[/name_f], Mariluna, [name_f]Pilar[/name_f], [name_f]Socorro[/name_f], and [name_f]Yesenia[/name_f] for girls, and [name_m]Casimiro[/name_m], Esmerelin, Isaí, Mijaín, [name_m]Renzo[/name_m], and [name_m]Saturnino[/name_m] for boys!
I recognized a few of these from the Argentine classes I sat in earlier this year (different part of Latin [name_u]America[/name_u], I know). I had students named [name_f]Luz[/name_f], [name_f]Joaquina[/name_f], [name_f]Pilar[/name_f] (went by Pili), [name_m]Maximo[/name_m], [name_m]Maximiliano[/name_m] (both went by Maxi), and [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] (went by Santi).
