[name_f]Tess[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessie[/name_f] are traditional nicknames for [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] any of those appeal to you?
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] is lovely. Could I be a [name_f]Tess[/name_f]? I’ve always gotten the single syllable Ter. I already know a [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f] nn [name_u]Reese[/name_u] was my first thought. I’m sure you could be a [name_f]Tess[/name_f] :). I can’t tell you what is best for you, as only you can decide that. But I think [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a lovely name and it sounds like it was chosen with love and care.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you love the name [name_f]Rose[/name_f]? Maybe you could try going by that if nothing else sticks. If you really want it changed officially on all your documents one idea would be to switch the names so it’s [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]. Or maybe a variant of [name_f]Rose[/name_f], like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_f]Theresa[/name_f].
All the best, I hope you can figure out what’s best for you!
ETA: If you want more [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name ideas. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_f]Rosella[/name_f], [name_f]Rosina[/name_f] and I’m sure there’s more!
I know how you feel!
My name is [name_f]Vasilia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Celia[/name_f] (Silia) and I have always hated it (one of my early memories is me being 6 and introducing myself as “[name_f]Celia[/name_f] but dont call me that because its gross”)
If you cant find a nickname for theresa or rose that you love, just change it, theres no point being miserable over it
i like tessa/tessie, essa/essie, thea, resa, t (pronounced like tea), sera ( a stretch but still! )
for rose i can only think of ros ( like ross) and [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
[name_u]Reese[/name_u] is cute, I like that. My great grandmother was [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
