I’m looking for a mythological name that doesn’t end or start with the letter A (or the sound “[name_m]AH[/name_m]”), or start with E (EH). It could be from any culture: eg. Greek, [name_m]Roman[/name_m], Nordic.
It’s for a middle for the name [name_f]Electra[/name_f].
[name_u]Loki[/name_u] (Traditionally a boy, but could be used as a girls name)
[name_f]Venus[/name_f]
[name_f]Selene[/name_f]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Circe[/name_f] (pronounced cer-say)
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f]
No names really stand out to me to fit yet.
I’m liking [name_f]Isis[/name_f] but I already have [name_f]Iris[/name_f] on my list.
I’m liking the EE sound at the ending of the names to go with [name_f]Electra[/name_f].
[name_f]Ione[/name_f] perhaps? I don’t know.
Throw some more suggestions at me.
Ok, I’m sorry for any repeats but I really like
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f]
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_u]Calypso[/name_u]
Nimue (I tend to say [name_m]NIM[/name_m]-oo-ay but I’ve also heard NEEM-oo)
Regarding [name_f]Eurydice[/name_f], I had two different professors for my Greek courses in college and both pronounced it differently. One was Your-id-EH-sea and the other was Your-ID-ack-hay. Apparently there are quite a few ways it could be pronounced.
