Naleya

I’ve known about this name for a while but I started liking it after seeing a football (soccer) player has a daughter with the same name (but spelled Naleyah). Also like the fact that it doesn’t seem to be very popular (Like never been on SSA name list). But does it sound or look too cutesy/made up? Any nicknames you like for it? Also wanted to know which spelling looks better and what sister names go with it (can also be unique or popular).

How is it pronounced?

nah-lay-uh is how I would probably pronounce it and nuh-lay-uh is from nameberry

[name_f]Naleya[/name_f] is pretty. I personally wouldnt use it, but I definitely see the appeal. With that being said, I would definitely compliment anyone who had this name and wouldnt think it is weird. As for potential nicknames, I’d consider:

[name_f]Nala[/name_f]
[name_f]Nali[/name_f]
[name_f]Leya[/name_f]
[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]

I agree it has a lovely sound! It does feel a little made up to me, but I’m not sure if I’d think so if I just heard it out and about? I’m wondering if it’s a bit like [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] for [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] with Anna-Leia? I admit I like Anna-Leia better myself though. I would probably use the nn [name_f]Leia[/name_f], but [name_f]Nala[/name_f], [name_f]Nia[/name_f], [name_f]Leia[/name_f], [name_f]Neya[/name_f], etc., are all lovely! Good luck!

[name_f]Naleya[/name_f] is pretty – it has a modern feel but wouldn’t feel out of place with other names like [name_f]Elaina[/name_f], [name_f]Malia[/name_f], [name_f]Natalia[/name_f], [name_f]Soraya[/name_f] etc.

As nicknames, I’d consider [name_f]Leya[/name_f] or [name_f]Nala[/name_f]

As sisters, [name_f]Azaria[/name_f], [name_f]Idalia[/name_f], [name_f]Elariella[/name_f], or [name_f]Katrielle[/name_f]
