We are considering [name_f]Elise[/name_f] for our little girl. What do you think of this name, and what do you associate with the name?
It’s a beautiful name! My first association is “Fur [name_f]Elise[/name_f]” by Beethoven.

[name_f]Elise[/name_f] makes me think of a little girl who only wears dresses and loves playing outside. I see her as being spunky and independent, strong and confident, and charismatic.
It makes me think of the 80’s movie with [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] reeve and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_m]Seymour[/name_m] where she played a character named [name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_f]Mckenna[/name_f] 
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] feels classy, elegant, and timeless. All good imagery in my opinion!
I associate this name with Beethoven and ‘fur [name_f]Elise[/name_f]’. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] to me is a more vintage name. I do however get a vivid picture in my mind of a tall, slim, young woman. One who is polite, with good manners, quiet, enjoys music (the piano perhaps…‘fur [name_f]Elise[/name_f]’), an elegant young lady. It’s a great name!
I really like Elise. It’s simple, elegant and not overly popular.
Except for Für Elise, I don’t have any strong associations with it.
Similar to the name [name_f]Clara[/name_f] for me in feel… elegant, poised, classy, just a hair above “simple.” European or with European roots. Musical connotation what with Fur [name_f]Elise[/name_f].

I’m a pianist who has played the Beethoven piece in its entirety (all 4 small movements) from memory for over 20 years. I’ve performed it and recorded it. I made no association, lol.

I think of my daughter ” she is fair haired, very sweet and funny. She is complimented lots on her name… and she is the only [name_f]Elise[/name_f] in her school, hurrah!

I think of brown hair, and possibly brown eyes as well. I think of a soft and sweet little girl. Tentative about what she does. Always cautious. Associate it with piano playing, for some reason. It is quite a pretty name.
