hey. its been a long time since ive been active on here. bet ill have one of those blue “welcome back” bars, lol. theres a lot i want to say but because everything but names seems to have disappeared im not sure where i should say it.
anyways, after all these years, im still actively looking for a name. nothing is quite “right”. i really like rowan & i would make this my name but it doesnt go well with my surname.
unarguable requirements:
-gender neutral (as in, your average person would not be able to tell my gender based on my name, in the usa)
-at least semi professional (dont want any weird looks when im trying to get a job)
-easy to spell & pronounce (wouldnt constantly be needing to correct people - again, i live in the usa.)
things that would be nice but arent necessities:
-nature name
-space-related name
-greek or roman mythology name
-doesnt have a bad meaning
-nickname options
-longer than 1 syllable
-doesnt have a super strong association with one person (so no reagan or anything, sorry-)
my list (i wouldnt actually use most of these names, this is just to get an idea of my style):
august
emerson
rowan
kepler
morgan
rory
cove
milo (mee-loh, not my-loh)
juniper
aster/astor
leo (lay-oh, not lee-oh)
kai
riley
sage
luka (& other spellings)
quinn
atlas
alex
the last three i used to like but now have negative associations with so please nothing too similar to them.
middle name will for sure either be skyler or just sky, depending on what flows better. any old timers here know my last name (i regret making it public but so be it), but for those who dont, its very similar to robin.
A few ideas:

[name_u]Emery[/name_u] / [name_u]Emory[/name_u] - maybe leaning to much to the femme side?
[name_u]Madden[/name_u] / [name_u]Maddox[/name_u] / [name_m]Mads[/name_m] - similar in style to a lot of names on your list but also a tad more “out there”

[name_m]Lazarus[/name_m]
[name_m]Astrophel[/name_m]
Fenrys
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any backgrounds that interest you from your heritage? I also changed my name. I had no luck with any ‘typical’ names, so I went looking into my heritage. I ended up on a site with Norse names where I found ‘Sefi’. That became my nickname- I lengthened it to ’ Josephine’ for “serious” stuff.
