[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering what peoples thoughts are on these name combinations
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] (molly-variation on my grandmothers name [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] always loved that name)
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Amy[/name_f] (no connection to either name)
[name_u]Georgie[/name_u] [name_m]Clarke[/name_m]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]
I love [name_f]Molly[/name_f] & [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but am not a fan of any of the combos, though. They all feel dated to me. I could come around to [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] maybe… [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] is pretty cute! And I think [name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] would be awesome.
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] : I think this is my favorite from your list. It combines a name with special meaning (and lots of spunk!) with a name that you have loved for a long time. That makes it just about perfect in my book! [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Amy[/name_f] : As an alliteration fan, I do like the double “A” quite a bit. That said, [name_u]Addison[/name_u] does feel a bit trendy, and I think it will feel quite dated very soon. However, I adore [name_f]Amy[/name_f], think it is sweet and classic, and hope it gets more attention! [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] [name_m]Clarke[/name_m] : [name_m]Clarke[/name_m] is a bold, strong middle, and I like it quite a lot. However, [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] as a full first just isn’t doing it for me. Perhaps [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] or [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] instead? [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]: [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] ticks all the boxes: Spunky, stylish, and evergreen. I think [name_u]Jay[/name_u] is interesting as a middle for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but I think I’d prefer a more feminine option.
Honestly, my first thought was that they all sound quite dated, and somewhat lacklustre. I think all of the names are nice enough individually (don’t get me wrong, they’re certainly not ‘bad’ names) I think just paired as they are, they do come across as very dated and bland.
Here are my ideas on shaking things up a little…
[name_f]Molly[/name_f], I feel, could work as a nickname for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], giving you two of your favourites in one name. Also, ‘[name_u]Jay[/name_u]’ as nickname for [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] would be quite refreshing (if you like the names as firsts), rather than the tired and obvious ‘[name_u]Jess[/name_u]’.
I’m usually a fan of alliteration, but I’m not loving [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Amy[/name_f], I think, because it’s a clash of two different styles with [name_u]Addison[/name_u] being quite trendy, and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] being quite dated-70’s/80’s. [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Clarke[/name_m], or [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] [name_f]Amy[/name_f] mesh better in regard to style.
Of the four, I think [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] [name_m]Clarke[/name_m] actually works and sounds best overall, though I do think [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] ‘[name_u]Georgie[/name_u]’ [name_m]Clarke[/name_m] would be ever nicer, just to give [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] a little more formal a name to fall back on if she needs to in future.
I really like that [name_f]Molly[/name_f] has special meaning to you, and going on the alliteration of your [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Amy[/name_f] combo, how about [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]?
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] - such a warm sounding name! It’s really nice
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Amy[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Amy[/name_f]!! [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is quite nice too
[name_u]Georgie[/name_u] [name_m]Clarke[/name_m] -I don’t mind these names separately but I’m not sure on them together. [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]/[name_f]Molly[/name_f]/[name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_m]Clarke[/name_m] would be nice
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] - I love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]! [name_u]Jay[/name_u] makes a sweet middle.
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] is quite lovely. I love both [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] but not in your combos so much. [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] would be great. As would [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f].
[name_u]Georgie[/name_u] [name_m]Clarke[/name_m] is really nice, it sounds spunky and fun but still traditional. I think [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_u]Addison[/name_u] sounds better than [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Amy[/name_f] and [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f] sounds nicer than [name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f].
