Name for a main character boy! (help please)

Alright, this is my first time using this forum, so if this post is a bit uhmmmmm… unorthodox? just bear with me haha

So I’m working on a story with two main characters: a boy and a girl. The girl’s name is Cordelia, which I love, but after cENTURIES of searching for a boy name I like, I can’t find one that sticks! Basically, I’m just desperate for suggestions at this point. Below is a description of our dear nameless boy, along with a few names that I tried for him that are Not Quite Right (but came close) and a few that I just like in general.

Character Details!

  • He’s tall, lanky, white; absolutely covered in freckles; brown eyes and dark brown hair.
  • His family is super wealthy and influential, so I guess maybe he has some kind of fancypants name? maybe?

Here are a few names I thought of using for him that didn’t feel quite right:

  • Emery
  • Jasper
  • Arthur/Artie/Art
  • Oliver
  • Remy

Aaaaaand a few names I just like in general:

  • Florian
  • Hollis
  • Lucas
  • Pieter
  • Klaus
  • Henri

One final note: maybe he could have a long fancy name with a shorter nickname? Suggestions don’t necessarily have to fall into that long-name-with-nickname category, but it’s something to think about.

Hopefully this post made some semblance of sense haha and if you’ve got any bright ideas for a name for my nameless young friend, I’d love to hear it (as it turns out, it can be very difficult to write a story when one of the main characters doesn’t have a name). Thanks!
