Name for a sweet, badass twelve year old

So, my little sister recently (like a week ago) learned that she has dyslexia. She still loves reading, but the books were the font is big enough for her to read with out difficulty she finds dull (because she loves complicated plot lines an intricate characters). Therefore I decided to write her a short book with large enough font but which also holds a storyline which isn’t directed towards eight year olds.

I’m however stuck on a name for the main character. She is suposed to be around twelve, maybe thirteen, and she’ll be blessed with a few of my sisters characteristics. Like fierceness, gentleness and an amazing use of sarcasm. Her name is suposed to be quite international but still classic and rather old school (as if she were named after an old relative). Preferably a shorter name as well.

I’m currently considering:
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Diana[/name_f]
[name_u]Lisa[/name_u]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_f]Irma[/name_f]

But I’ve also played with the thought of giving her an unusual double-barrel name such as:
[name_f]Sara[/name_f]-[name_u]Lisa[/name_u]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Ruth[/name_f]

Thanks in advance!

Maybe you could find a variation of your sister’s name? ([name_m]Even[/name_m] if it’s just in meaning and not direct.) I like [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] & [name_f]Vera[/name_f]. Maybe: [name_f]Kat[/name_f] (short for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]), [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].

Mostly, I wanted to tell you that online they sell large print editions of pretty much any book you could think of! Kid’s, YA, adults, everything. I’m not sure where you live, but [name_m]Barnes[/name_m] & [name_m]Noble[/name_m] also has large prints on select books. If you want something cheaper, your local library should have a large print section & if you ask they may be able to special order some books for her. Thriftbooks.com also is much cheaper alternative as all the books are used-- I’ve gotten twelve books there for $15 before, and I know they do have large print.
