With our first son, [name]Adam[/name], the naming process was as simple as me presenting a list of names I liked to hubby and he picked his favorite ([name]Adam[/name]). It felt right and it stuck. Now we’re having another boy and it has been anything but easy to find a name that seems to fit. He likes traditional names (like [name]James[/name], [name]Andrew[/name] or [name]Kyle[/name]) and I like names that are familiar, but uncommon ([name]Mick[/name], [name]Max[/name], [name]Samson[/name], [name]Wesley[/name]). We both prefer definitely masculine names. We did have the baby named [name]Matthew[/name] [name]Wesley[/name] for a bit, but I never felt great about [name]Matthew[/name], even after calling him that for a couple months. Also, our last name is [name]Brown[/name], so I feel like the first name needs to have just a little bit of punch so it doesn’t sound boring. My husband’s rules are 1) no names that start with B (he doesn’t like alliterative names) 2) he wants to use the his mother’s maiden name [name]Gibson[/name] as the middle name, which I’m okay with if I can find a first name I love 3) no [name]John[/name], and 4) nothing that’s trendy like [name]Jayden[/name], [name]Aiden[/name], or [name]Gavin[/name].
With [name]Adam[/name], I think [name]Nathaniel[/name], [name]Theodore[/name], [name]Charlie[/name], [name]Maxwell[/name] or [name]Simon[/name] would sound nice. I think [name]Bennett[/name] or [name]Benjamin[/name] would be great but that breaks the “no B” rule.
I love your son’s name, btw! [name]Adam[/name] is one of my favorites. I really love the suggestions of [name]Micah[/name] and [name]Simon[/name] with it, and [name]Daniel[/name].
What about something like a more quirky or off-the-wall Biblical name, like [name]Ezra[/name] or [name]Caleb[/name] (not really off-the-wall, but less classic than something like [name]Thomas[/name] or [name]Peter[/name] or [name]David[/name]), or a quirky classic, like [name]Theodore[/name] or [name]August[/name]?
[name]Daniel[/name] is not so good IMHO as [name]Dan[/name] [name]Brown[/name] is well known author.
Some suggestions:
[name]Adam[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Gibson[/name]
[name]Adam[/name] and [name]Ryan[/name] [name]Gibson[/name]
[name]Adam[/name] and [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Gibson[/name]
[name]Adam[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name] [name]Gibson[/name]
[name]Adam[/name] and [name]David[/name] [name]Gibson[/name]
[name]Adam[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] [name]Gibson[/name]
[name]Adam[/name] and [name]Jacob[/name] [name]Gibson[/name]
[name]Adam[/name] and [name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Gibson[/name]
[name]Adam[/name] and [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Gibson[/name]
I was thinking of naming my son [name]Micah[/name] nn [name]Mick[/name] (sadly the name got stolen by another family member). I saw you liked [name]Mick[/name], so this might be a good middle ground. I knew a guy named [name]Michael[/name] nn [name]Mick[/name] and I always really liked that. I love a lot of the names suggested by others too. [name]Every[/name] one I think of, I see someone else has already listed. Great minds think alike Your problem sounds just like my problem with my husband. Good luck, I’m sure y’all will find something you can agree on!
