I am working on a story that is set in a [name_u]French[/name_u] boarding school for the arts and while these girls are not sisters yet, they will be at the end (found family trope best trope). The three girls established are fully [name_u]French[/name_u]. There will be one more girl in their friend group. I have not decided if she will be an exchange student yet, so [name_u]French[/name_u] or Americanized names are welcome! I have not picked last names yet, so they do not have to fit with anything.
Some names that I really like but do not work
Clémentine (is it too American?)
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] (It sounds a bit soft compared to the other names)
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] / [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] (I like the ending but it doesn’t look quite right)
[name_u]Marion[/name_u] / [name_u]Marian[/name_u] / [name_f]Marien[/name_f] (I cannot find a spelling that looks [name_u]French[/name_u] enough)
[name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] (It is perfectly vintage but a little too stiff)
P.S. I pronounce [name_f]Léna[/name_f] as Lane-uh.
Thank you so much for your help!
