We are getting a Siberian cat and are trying to think of names for him. He will be either grey or brown tabby, and very fluffy!
We want more of a proper name rather than typical pet names like [name_f]Muffin[/name_f], Fluffy, etc., and if it is a Russian name that would be a bonus because of the breed, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be.
Current name ideas:
[name_u]Taika[/name_u]
[name_m]Sergei[/name_m]
[name_u]Beau[/name_u]
[name_m]Dante[/name_m]
Aleksei “Alyosha”
Aleksandr “Sasha”
Grigori “Grisha”
Matvei “Matya”
Dimitri “Mitya”
Luka or Lukyan (variant of Lucian)
Yefrem
Miron
Damir
Gleb
Misha
Moroz means frost
Lev means lion (nn Lyova?)
Zakhar
Yaroslava means fierce and glorious (nn Yasha or Yarik?)
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] again!
Thank you so much for all of the wonderful suggestions.
In the end I was not the one who had the last say in the cat’s name, but it was inspired by some of the ideas here.
His name is:
[name_u]Taika[/name_u] Aslanov
with nicknames Tike, Tikes, and Azzy.
Aslanov means ‘son of lion’ which is so cute, and [name_u]Taika[/name_u] goes well, was a name we all liked, and is the name of a well-known director from my country.
