Help! In a few weeks I’ll be having my second child, another awesome girl nugget, and really don’t have a name yet. My husband likes classic, I like more unique. Our first daughter is [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] (even though our top three names were [name_u]Raven[/name_u], [name_u]Dakota[/name_u] and [name_f]Skya[/name_f] before her birth, lol).
Names that have been tossed around: [name_f]Kira[/name_f] (husband’s pick), [name_f]Nova[/name_f] (my pick), [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_u]Raven[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Kira[/name_f] because it sounds distinct from [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], yet fits the style really well and sounds natural next to it. (I’m assuming it would be pronounced “keer-uh” not “kye-ruh.” If you’re going for kye-ruh I would use the [name_f]Kyra[/name_f] spelling. I really like the [name_f]Kira[/name_f] spelling instead of [name_f]Kiera[/name_f]/[name_f]Keira[/name_f] for “keer-uh” because it avoids ie/ei confusions.)
I think [name_u]Raven[/name_u] is a little too close to [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] in sound, and may result in people confusing their names often. I like [name_f]Nova[/name_f] but it sounds a little repetitive to have two children with strong “O” sounds in their names, although it could definitely work. Have you considered [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (“lee-see-uh”)?
Agree that [name_u]Raven[/name_u] sounds too close to [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Kira[/name_f] and [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]! Some suggestions:
I love Kira as well as the suggestions of Mira & Lyra. Please forgive repeats:

[name_f]Kira[/name_f] and [name_f]Nova[/name_f] would actually be my top two choices from your list with [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], so I don’t think you can really go wrong!
Thanks for all the replies!
Dollface, I’m digging [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. [name_f]Mira[/name_f],too, as a possible alternative to [name_f]Kira[/name_f] (pronounced Kee-ra).
Ceryle, I really like [name_f]Luna[/name_f] but am wondering if it’s really popular. [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]'s cool too, but the hubs only thinks [name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f].
[name_m]Wilkie[/name_m], love your combos. I was already thinking [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as a middle name.
I also like a lilting L sound, such as [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f] (lily would be nice, but it’s taken by a friend).
Anyone like [name_f]Rumi[/name_f]? Maybe [name_f]Rumi[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]?
