Looking for a name that goes with the nickname [name]Jake[/name], but I hate using the ever popular [name]Jacob[/name] or [name]Jackson[/name]. Any ideas? He has two sisters…[name]Savannah[/name] and [name]Scarlette[/name]. So I would need a name to go with those.
Perhaps [name]Giacomo[/name]?
I think you could consider [name]Jameson[/name] (I would suggest [name]James[/name], but that is probably too popular for you, and maybe on the traditional side next to [name]Savannah[/name] and [name]Scarlette[/name]). [name]Jacob[/name] and [name]James[/name] are two derivatives of Iacobemus. And [name]Jameson[/name] and [name]Jake[/name] start with the same sound. [name]Jameson[/name] with a C or K middle name would reinforce the second sound. [name]Jameson[/name] [name]Kai[/name], [name]Jameson[/name] [name]Callum[/name].
There’s also [name]Jacoby[/name]. The stress is on the [name]Coby[/name] part (ja [name]COBE[/name] ee) but [name]Jake[/name] would be logical enough.
[name]Jacques[/name] (zhahck) would go with the French-y spelling of [name]Scarlette[/name], but doesn’t really work.
I also think you could just use [name]Jake[/name]. Not my style at all, but it’s not bad or anything to do that.

I really like [name]Jacoby[/name], too. And it’s not too far of a stretch for nn [name]Jake[/name].
[name]One[/name] idea is to name your son something starting with the letter J, and then with a middle name that starts with K. That way, you can legitimately call him J(a)K(e). I have known several people who did similar things to land on a nickname that they love.
For instance, it could be [name]John[/name] [name]Knight[/name] Lastname, etc.

I know a guy called Jakin. It’s Biblical, but that’s not the original spelling… I think it’s sounds quite nice and would be great for using [name]Jake[/name] as a nn
