Hi. So I am pregnant, 8 and a half months along with twins, two girls. We were only planning on one, and we had the name Yasmin picked out for her. We are not Arabic but where we’re both from Arabic and Persian names are very common. We are set on that name for one twin.
However, we couldn’t pick a name that would work well with Yasmin. The other names we had in mind don’t really work.
Older siblings are Arshbir (7), and Samira (3). We are Punjabi and Sikh, hence Arshbir (a name my father really likes), and Samira is the name of my great grandmother just different spelling (hers was spelt Sameera, but I don’t like the double e.
I sort of like Ashley, but we are on the fence. Any advice?
I would say maybe [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] for a middle name, it doesn’t really fit in with [name_f]Yasmin[/name_f], [name_f]Samira[/name_f], and Arshbir. I think maybe these would go well with your sibling set:
Azami (if you went with this option all the girls would have ‘mi’ in their name)
Adhara
Alula
Avera
Farrah
Hala
Hana
Maram
Nadia
Taja
Tala
Yara
Yesenia
Zahrah
Congrats on your twins! Getting to it, I wouldn’t use [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] - it doesn’t go with the others and takes away from Arshbir. I would use the Persian Avaley (pretty as a bird) instead.
I wish I had suggestions for you but I just want to say that I absolutely love this name, it’s one of my favorites, & it makes me so happy to see it actually being used
Congratulations! I like the suggestions of [name_f]Farrah[/name_f] or [name_f]Zara[/name_f]. [name_f]Zaina[/name_f] is also beautiful. I think [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] is too similar sounding to your sons name. Arshbir and [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] I think are a bit too close.
