All I can think to contribute is what I would name twin girls right now.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] (although different lengths, the r sound in both works for me as does the old-fashioned yet modern feel, and a similar level of sophistication and charm)
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] and [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] (both romantic, yet both strong with the r’s and the m’s and n’s, both three syllables, my only problem is I don’t like the nns for [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f])
[name_f]Geneva[/name_f] and [name_f]Fenella[/name_f] (both sound fresh and vital to me, like adventuresome girls/women, plus [name_f]Neva[/name_f] and [name_f]Fenna[/name_f] are nice together as nns)
[name_f]Theda[/name_f] and [name_f]Undine[/name_f] (each sounds exotic to me, yet is a real name, and sometimes I find myself drawn to first initials that follow one another - like t and u here)
[name_f]Stacia[/name_f] and Citrine (not sure why, but I enjoy these two together)
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] (two classics, but in 31 years of teaching, I’ve never taught a girl with either of these names)
[name_f]Madelief[/name_f] and [name_f]Ursuline[/name_f] (both have an ethereal feeling to them that I like, yet both end with a nice firm consonant, the f and the n sounds)
[name_f]Cesaria[/name_f] and [name_f]Dot[/name_f] (I don’t know why, but I love this combo. [name_f]Chessie[/name_f] and [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] as nns. Maybe it’s the surprise of the two together)
[name_f]Endellion[/name_f] and Harvest (Such rich, beautiful words and I love [name_f]Della[/name_f] and [name_f]Vesta[/name_f] as nns or [name_f]Enya[/name_f] and [name_f]Essie[/name_f])
[name_f]Ligeia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ngaio[/name_f] (Both unusual, both literary – [name_f]Ligeia[/name_f] from [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] Allenb [name_u]Poe[/name_u] stories and [name_f]Ngaio[/name_f] from the mystery novelist. Actually I love [name_f]Ligeia[/name_f] [name_f]Ngaio[/name_f] as a full name in itself too)
[name_f]Fjord[/name_f] and [name_f]Eyre[/name_f] (Or [name_f]Fjord[/name_f] and [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] – I like that they are short, nature-based or literature-based, and edgy – the j in [name_f]Fjord[/name_f] and the y in [name_f]Eyre[/name_f] complement one another)
Lumiere and Trillium ([name_u]Love[/name_u] how these sound together and while they are creative, they don’t sound outlandish to me_
[name_f]Maryellen[/name_f] and [name_f]Susanne[/name_f] (Or [name_f]Susan[/name_f]. I love how homespun these names are and I would nn them [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and Sus (sooz))
[name_f]Shasta[/name_f] and [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] (I also like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Shasta[/name_f], a Western flair to them. [name_f]Shasta[/name_f] and [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] are both names of daisies and I simply like the sound of them together)
[name_f]Opal[/name_f] and [name_f]Mauve[/name_f] (Or [name_f]Opal[/name_f] and [name_f]Gala[/name_f] or [name_f]Opal[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] — they look and sound good together to me)
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] and [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] (I’d nn them [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] and Cress)
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] (While I like these names more than love them, they sound nice together I think)
[name_f]Araminta[/name_f] and [name_f]Forsythia[/name_f] (Both are old-fashioned and refreshing sounding, [name_f]Minta[/name_f] and Sythia or [name_f]Minty[/name_f] and [name_f]Flossie[/name_f] for nns and I also adore Forsythe as a gender-neutral nn or name)
[name_f]Dinah[/name_f] and [name_f]Jemma[/name_f] (I love how soft and strong these sound, alone and together)
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Dulcinea[/name_f] (Pleasing repetition of l and n sounds, and [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] and [name_f]Dulcie[/name_f] are cute together)
[name_f]Fabia[/name_f] and [name_f]Grania[/name_f] (I’ve never met a [name_f]Fabia[/name_f] and only knew one [name_f]Grania[/name_f], a beautiful black Irish dog)
Wow, it makes me want to go have 21 sets of twin girls!
Have fun… L)
