What’s your least popular name?
Probably [name_f]Makeda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], nobody else seems to love her the way I do. [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] Tôllver doesn’t get much love either, but I think he’s handsome. -
What name most embodies your style?
[name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], I’d say. Good flow, simple and classic with a strong meaning. -
What name is the most unlike your style?
Again, I’d have to say [name_f]Makeda[/name_f] and Tôllver. They’re very out there for me but I adore them! -
What name are you most unsure about and why?
[name_f]Makeda[/name_f] is racking up the points here lol. I’m very hesitant due to it’s history and my being a white woman, I fear it might be overstepping boundaries. Also, nobody in my family is fond of it. -

Girl - [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] [name_f]Doreen[/name_f] // Boy - [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]. No questions asked. They’re honor names, honoring 2 of the most important people in my life. I have no hesitation in using one of these combos for my first born. -

[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] for a girl and [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] for a boy
10. What name would you be most likely to recommend to an expectant parent?
I’d love to see [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] or Adeluna getting used, neither are common but they both feel familiar and not too out there mostly because of their sounds I think
@angelastella5 so happy you love [name_f]Aveline[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u], she is quite stunning
She definitely is
I have a soft spot for that double v

What’s your most popular name?
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] (#3) and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] (#4).
What’s your least popular name?
Hmmm, probably [name_u]Ochre[/name_u], Altaluna, Haskey or Shepley.
What name most embodies your style?
[name_f]My[/name_f] current style I’d say [name_u]Sage[/name_u] or [name_u]Eden[/name_u], although my style has changed a lot recently. If you asked me a couple of months ago I’d probably say [name_m]Ralph[/name_m]. I still love [name_m]Ralph[/name_m]!
What name is the most unlike your style?
I think [name_f]Eudora[/name_f] and [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] stick out the most.
What name are you most unsure about and why?
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u]. I love the sound and meaning, it gives me really nice nature vibes, but I worry that it’s too similar to a lot of other names (Aiden, [name_u]Jayden[/name_u], [name_u]Kayden[/name_u], etc.)
What name would you use if you had a baby right now?
That’s tough! Maybe [name_m]Bly[/name_m] or [name_u]Sage[/name_u].
What name would you be most likely to recommend to an expectant parent?
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]! Such a versatile classic, it’s pretty, simple, international and comes with a sweet nickname built-in. You can’t go wrong with [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
how many names do you have?
for girls, c. 507
for boys, c. 112
what name has been on your list the longest?
for girls, maybe cecily or persephone. also maybe cassandra, which was my number one name a few years ago, left my favour, and then was re-added - i don’t know if that counts. overall, i think i’ve probably like persephone for the longest.
for boys, i actually have no idea, given that i only found boy names that i actually like really recently; within the last year. maybe lucian? i have no clue.
what name is the newest name on your list?
not counting my considering/pending list:
for girls, saxa
for boys, oren
what’s your most popular name?
for girls, olivia
for boys, theo, though i’m not sure i love theo and so might drop it from my list ?? oh dear
what’s your least popular name?
ha! most of my list
for girls, i’ll say perannon or ferewin since i don’t think they’re actually names, i probably made them up
for boys, maybe havelock or arcturus, though i have plenty of options
what name most embodies your style?
this is really hard thanks to my horribly inconsistent style.
for girls, probably persephone, just because it’s my favourite
for boys, maybe something like florent, even though it isn’t my favourite, because i think it hits my vibe - still somewhat elaborate, but not as much so for boys. or maybe draco.
what name is the most unlike your style?
for girls, hadley or blue
for boys, lavender or thomas
what name are you most unsure about and why?
again, not counting my considering/pending list:
for girls, i’ve recently been questioning blue, one of my oldest favourites. it doesn’t fit with any of my other names, and i don’t really like it in any combo i put it in. i’m stuck wondering if i actually still like it, or if i just like it because i tell myself i do.
for boys, ronan is very much on the edge right now; it was my absolute favourite boy name for quite a while (a solid eight or nine months which is a while for me, given that i’m nowhere near children) and suddenly lost its magic. i don’t know whether to keep it on the list, and even though i still light up a little when i hear it, i don’t know if that’s a learned response or if i actually still love it.
what name would you use if you had a baby right now?
for a girl, persephone
for a boy, kit
what name would you be most likely to recommend to an expectant parent?
for girls, maybe clarimond, a rare delight that i adore, yet don’t feel possessive over (unlike, inconveniently, most of my list)
for boys, maybe stellan, soren, or fyodor for the same reasons
1. How many names do you have?
136 for girls and 169 for boys
2. What name has been on your list the longest?
[name_f]Alma[/name_f] for girls and probably Caspian/Casper for boys
3. What name is the newest name on your list?
[name_f]Marjolie[/name_f] for girls and [name_m]Abel[/name_m] for boys
4. What’s your most popular name?
[name_u]Oliver[/name_u] (#1 in [name_f]England[/name_f], #3 in the US)
5. What’s your least popular name?
Quite a few, but [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f] is one that comes to mind
6. What name most embodies your style?
[name_f]Alma[/name_f] & [name_f]Frances[/name_f] for girls, [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] & [name_m]Otto[/name_m] for boys
7. What name is the most unlike your style?
[name_f]Astraea[/name_f] for girls & [name_m]Orpheus[/name_m] for boys
8. What name are you most unsure about and why?
[name_m]Leander[/name_m]. It’s a name that I love one day and feel meh about the next day.
9. What name would you use if you had a baby right now?
[name_f]Alma[/name_f], [name_u]Romy[/name_u] or [name_f]Mara[/name_f] for girls and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] or [name_m]Otto[/name_m] for boys
10. What name would you be most likely to recommend to an expectant parent?
[name_f]Brynja[/name_f], [name_u]Asa[/name_u], and [name_m]Bram[/name_m]. They deserve more usage although I obviously don’t want them to get popular
i find this bit really funny, because these are all names on my list as well, but swapped! astraea and orpheus best encompass my style, while frances and otto stick out dreadfully. we have very similar names just… inverse.
I like this idea a lot!
- 760 boys + 1,557 girls = 2,317 total names!
- [name_f]Tara[/name_f] (TAIR-uh) was the first name on my list when I started putting mine together back in [name_u]July[/name_u] 2018, which is still my third favorite girls’ name today! For boys, I think [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] was the first name I put on my list because it was my favorite at the time.
- I added Elston a day and a half ago when I first saw it as a character name, and Elston immediately reminded me of [name_m]Elton[/name_m] which I didn’t have, so [name_m]Elton[/name_m] is the newest name on my list! For girls, I added [name_m]Elio[/name_m] about two days ago when I saw it on the QPT (thank you, @venezio!)
- [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] for boys and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] for girls.
- Probably Tremace for boys and Onakomaiya for girls.
- [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]! It’s been my favorite boy name for over two and a half years now, and I have always adored its sound. Sound is my top priority when adding a name to my list, but I also think of spelling and timelessness. For girls, probably [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], which is my current favorite.
- I would say Fusako. I think masculine when I hear the name, but it’s actually a girl name from what a neighbor told me. I tend not to like those types of names, but this name is just so fun to say! Similarly, I would say Sadakachi or Jaffre for boys.
- Probably Vievee. I was unsure whether or not I should add it and made a poll about it on the QPT which made me add it, especially when I saw that there were multiple pronunciations of the name which I liked better than the one I thought of.
- Either [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] or an honor name for my twin brother who didn’t make it. For girls, probably [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].
- Probably [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] these!
-

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] maybe? I have [name_m]Felix[/name_m] on my boy’s list but am considering not using it because of how popular it’s been getting. -
What’s your least popular name?
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] potentially for girls. [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] probably for boys. -
What name most embodies your style?
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] because I like those old lady, grandma, vintage names. [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] because I like the less common, surnames. -
What name is the most unlike your style?
[name_u]Camille[/name_u] probably. It doesn’t fit the old lady vibe as much. [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] is far more popular than a lot of the other names on my list. -
What name are you most unsure about and why?
[name_f]Twyla[/name_f]. I think it sounds so pretty but the spelling always throws me off. [name_u]Dale[/name_u]. It sounds so different and less exciting than the other boy names on my list. -
What name would you use if you had a baby right now?
If it was completely up to me I’d pick [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] have to get my husband to agree

[name_f]Margie[/name_f]! -
What name is the newest name on your list?
Thomasyn/Thomasine. -
What’s your most popular name?
[name_m]William[/name_m] was no 5 for boys in 2020, so probably that? -
What’s your least popular name?
Ludoviko and Thomasyn as “unique” spellings, and probably [name_f]Corliss[/name_f] as an individual name. -
What name most embodies your style?
I know it’s my own name, but [name_u]Merle[/name_u] is unisex, old-fashioned, and [name_u]French[/name_u], so it ticks all the boxes! -
What name is the most unlike your style?
Ludoviko (I like traditional spellings, but it’s for L. L. Zamenhof, a man I really admire.) -
What name are you most unsure about and why?
[name_m]Arkady[/name_m]. It’s one of my absolute favorites, but it’s so Russian that I don’t know what to combine it with. -
What name would you use if you had a baby right now?
[name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] (or, actually, maybe [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] Alice) or [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Ransom[/name_m]. -
What name would you be most likely to recommend to an expectant parent?
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is sweet and fresh, and [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] never goes out of style!
This is a fun idea! I’m gonna do my girl, unisex and boy names together.
1- 35 girls, 9 Unisex and 24 boys
2- [name_f]Erica[/name_f], [name_u]Spencer[/name_u], [name_m]Oskar[/name_m]
3- [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], [name_m]Enzo[/name_m]
4- [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Noah[/name_u]
5- [name_f]Edina[/name_f], [name_u]Leslie[/name_u], [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]
6- [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], [name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
7- Zonya, [name_f]Pallas[/name_f], [name_m]Santino[/name_m]
8- Probably [name_f]Acacia[/name_f], how do you pronounce it? I’ve heard it said so many different ways and none of them seem to match the spelling.
9- [name_f]Hallie[/name_f], [name_u]Spencer[/name_u], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]
10- [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_u]Finley[/name_u], [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]
- I have 7 combos and 6 single names.
- [name_u]Claude[/name_u].
- [name_f]Mercede[/name_f].
- [name_u]Maria[/name_u].
- Maybe [name_m]Dionizy[/name_m]?
- I think [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] Vojta
- [name_f]Mercedes[/name_f] Nashaly
- [name_f]Mercedes[/name_f] Nashaly, since Nashaly has no personal significance to me.
- Right now my favorites are [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] Vojta and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] Grażyna.
- Maybe [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u]! It’s elegant, strong-sounding, multicultural and very underappreciated where I live.
Took me a while to get to this, but I love this idea!
Girls
- Currently, on my masterlist (which is under revision), I have 130 names.
- I think Anneliese has been on my list longest. I’ve loved that name since I was about 4!
- The most recent addition to my list is Alisa.
- My most popular name is Emma – #2 on the US Top 1k!
- My least popular name is probably Gelsomina – I feel like most Americans have never even heard of it, much less considered using it!
- Maybe Clara – feminine, traditional, elegant.
- Hmmm…I think Kit is a little tomboyish compared to the rest of my list. (But I’d only use it as a nn for Katharine.)
- Ilsa – I love it and half of me wants to seriously use it, but the other half is not sure about it at all. Would it be well-received? Or would it confuse people? Does it even sound nice? I’m never sure!
- Probably Clara.
- I feel like I’m always pushing for Daphne and Diana – two classic names that I think a lot of people like, yet don’t get enough use for some reason!
Boys
- About 70, I believe.
- Daniel
- Alexio
- Most popular is William – #5 on the US Top 1k.
- Least popular is almost certainly Frantisek. (It’s not even in the NB database!)
- Hmm…maybe Edmund? It’s strong, traditional, deeply rooted in history and literature.
- Probably Lee or Leland – a little more American than the rest of my list, I think.
- Richard – I like how classic it is, but I also find it a bit outdated currently.
- Henry!
- I am honestly always suggesting Felix for people!
- How many names do you have?
4 xD - What name has been on your list the longest?
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]! - What name is the newest name on your list?
[name_f]Noemi[/name_f]

[name_f]Mira[/name_f]! ^.^ [name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] lol - What’s your least popular name?
Either [name_m]Anson[/name_m] or [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]
- What name most embodies your style?
Hmm… [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]
- What name is the most unlike your style?
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u], I normally don’t like super classic/traditional names lol - What name are you most unsure about and why?
[name_f]Noemi[/name_f], due to pronunciation issues. - What name would you use if you had a baby right now?
G: [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]
B: [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_m]Anson[/name_m] - What name would you be most likely to recommend to an expectant parent?
I’d say [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], but it really depends on the parent(s)!
1. How many names do you have?
283 names in total. 193 feminine names, 66 masculine names, 28 unisex names.
2. What name has been on your list the longest?
Simon. I’ve loved Simon since I was a toddler!
3. What name is the newest name on your list?
For girls, [name]Urania[/name_f], the name of the Greek muse of Astronomy.
For boys, [name]Nico[/name_m], a Greek name meaning “Victory of the People”
4. What’s your most popular name?
Jack for boys, Iris for girls. (You can really tell how different my boys vs girls style is, haha)
5. What’s your least popular name?
Uhmm… that’s hard since many of them rank below the top 1000.
6. What name most embodies your style?
Ronan & Mari — more unusual names, typically with nature or sea meanings.
7. What name is the most unlike your style?
Icelyn for girls, Panuk for boys.
8. What name are you most unsure about and why?
Hmm. I’m not really sure. I guess Venilia? It’s the name of the Roman deity of the sea & winds, but I’m not Roman (nor pagan) so I’m not sure I’d ever use her. Plus, everyone says Venilia reminds them of vanilla, though I don’t see it.
9. What name would you use if you had a baby right now?
Ronan Gale &/or Mari Driftwood
10. What name would you be most likely to recommend to an expectant parent?
Perhaps Vivia for a girl, and Emilien for a boy.
Both are fairly rare, underused names, but they are similar to more popular names, like Vivienne and Emilio.
