Name my Christmas Tree

[name_f]My[/name_f] tree is 6 feet tall and very wide.
She was only 30 quid and I love her…
I’m thinking [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]… [name_f]My[/name_f] dad said [name_f]Elva[/name_f] would be a good name as it would honour her heritage.
Please suggest names similar to [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] and [name_f]Elva[/name_f]. I would like her to have 2 middles as well…

Thanks everyone!

Awww thanks so much!
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Ermengard[/name_f] [name_f]Helma[/name_f] is a stunner! It really suits her. She was in the Reduced [name_m]Price[/name_m] rack at the tree farm which has blown her confidence a little… especially as there were far less handsome trees still going for full price. I’ve tried to console her… I’ll reveal her name to her and she’ll be feeling like a queen in no time!

I love [name_f]Ethel[/name_f]! She doesn’t seem like an [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] though…
[name_f]Ethel[/name_f] is a short name and she is bigger than life, looming over me as I write this.
[name_f]Hildegard[/name_f] is a heftier, yet elegant name for my tree.
And [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]!.. I should honour her roots by giving her a middle name meaning ‘[name_u]Forest[/name_u]’ I don’t want her to forget the tree farm she grew up on.
[name_f]Annelise[/name_f] is too pretty to give to her… this tree is 6 feet tall and if she thinks she’s better than me she could tackle me in an instant. I need her to have a subdued name to humble her a bit.

Maybe…

[name_u]Alva[/name_u], similar to [name_f]Elva[/name_f]
[name_f]Ermentrude[/name_f]…

Umm… [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_u]Alva[/name_u] [name_f]Ermentrude[/name_f]?

Also [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Arden[/name_u] (Shakespearean forest).

It’s just a tree, you know, and a name is a name :slightly_smiling_face: What about [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Ermentrude[/name_f]?

I love how much you love her! Eira would be a nice wintry name. Winifred [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Eira[/name_f] or Winifred [name_f]Eira[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] could tie in both forest and snow! Aveline is related to trees, but specifically Hazels so I don’t know if that’s too much of a stretch. Sylva is really pretty; like a more uncommon and streamlined [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]! It also means woodland. You could always do a word name as a middle… Winifred [name_f]Sylva[/name_f] [name_u]Frost[/name_u]! Elswyth means “elf from the willow tree” but that could also apply to any tree, right? It has the magical sparkly feeling that I think she deserves. Winifred [name_f]Elswyth[/name_f] [name_f]Sylva[/name_f] or Winifred [name_f]Sylva[/name_f] [name_f]Elswyth[/name_f] would be amazing. Elswyth [name_f]Sylva[/name_f] [name_u]Frost[/name_u] is my favorite out of all of these! [name_f]Althea[/name_f], also related to trees, could be nice. Finally some names regardless of their meanings that I think would be fitting: [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_f]Athalie[/name_f], [name_f]Acantha[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]

sorry for the really weird formatting of this post :joy:

I love [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Sylva[/name_f] [name_u]Frost[/name_u]! You’re really good at naming trees, which is a weird complement but it’s true lol. [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] does especially sound like a tree name, maybe because it reminds me of Fir trees. I like the sleeker, more elegant [name_f]Sylva[/name_f] and [name_u]Frost[/name_u] is so cute! [name_f]Elswyth[/name_f] is lovely but just doesn’t suit her…

Okay, my tree has been christened [name_f]Ermengard[/name_f] [name_f]Helma[/name_f] [name_u]Frost[/name_u]!
I had a dream that my name was [name_f]Irma[/name_f], so I chose [name_f]Ermengard[/name_f] as first spot!
These beautiful names will all be useful for next year, and maybe for my tree farm I will own one day in my fantasies…
