We are making backwards progress for my baby boy due in mid-[name_u]March[/name_u]. Middle name is [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]. Sibling names are [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. Fit with sibling names isn’t a huge deal to us as long as it doesn’t sound bad with the other two. I am Jewish and my husband is not. We had decided on [name_u]Ari[/name_u] for about week, but recently my husband has expressed concern that his family and people who are not Jewish will think the name is weird. Here are our top five:
I think [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] or [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] would fit the best with [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. Of those two, I would pick [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]!
I agree with your husband here. [name_u]Ari[/name_u] is reeeally niche, and it doesn’t represent both of you.
I would also nix [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], personally, because it’s going the way of names like [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], and [name_u]Emmerson[/name_u] – that is to say unisex-trending-girl.
All of the other names are excellent, you couldn’t go wrong with any of them.
Ari [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is so handsome!! I’m not Jewish, but I’ve known a few male [name_u]Ari[/name_u]’s, and I’ve always thought the name was lovely!! Also, [name_m]Simon[/name_m] & [name_u]Ari[/name_u] make a very adorable set of brothers!!
I think [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] ([name_u]Elie[/name_u] could be a cute nn option that’s similar to [name_u]Ari[/name_u]!), and [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] are wonderful as well, but there’s something extra special about [name_u]Ari[/name_u]
Elliot [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] wonderful! I like [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] but it’s been the #1 boy’s name in my state for several years and is inescapable on the playground, so I don’t feel as enthusiastic about it. [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is lovely as well.
Simon & [name_f]Clara[/name_f] are lovely. And I love [name_u]Ari[/name_u]. It’s my little kitty’s name, so I’m a bit biased. I think that it goes nicely w/Simon & [name_f]Clara[/name_f] & [name_u]Ari[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is beautiful. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you & your husband love [name_u]Ari[/name_u] the most? I wouldn’t worry about what people think. They’ll like any name attached to a sweet little baby. But if your husband has doubts because he’s not sure that he loves it, my second favorite is [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]. I actually like [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] best w/Clara & [name_m]Simon[/name_m], even though I know that’s not a huge concern of your’s. It’s smart & a little bit quirky. Simple, handsome, classic & not too popular. The other names on your list are quite nice, but very over done.
I absolutely love your top names ! [name_f]My[/name_f] top two are
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]
[name_u]Ari[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]
Benjamin [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is my favorite combo BUT think [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] “fits the best”. If fit isn’t of top priority I say go for [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]
I adore [name_u]Ari[/name_u]!!! For me it depends how you say [name_f]Clara[/name_f] though. If it’s claire-uh, then I think [name_u]Ari[/name_u] works as a brother! If it’s clah-ruh, maybe not. [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is my second choice
I agree with @Kipperbo1 about the pronunciation question. I like [name_u]Ari[/name_u] and think it works well, but might be a little too close in sound to [name_f]Clara[/name_f].
