My big brother tragically passed away yesterday. We had our boys name in stone, even had things monogrammed with the name. But now I’m thinking of adding my brothers name in there. His name was Levi Blake, the name we had chosen was Owen Forrest Finley. I’ll insert a poll below of what I am thinking, give me thought and opinions.

I think so too, I feel like saying his first name often might bring a heaviness or a sadness to my son’s name. I definitely don’t want that. Thank you for your condolences and input.

I like the sound of [name_m]Owen[/name_m] [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] [name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- it keeps elements of [name_m]Finley[/name_m] while clearly honoring your brother [name_f][/name_f]- however, reading some of the other comments, I think [name_m]Owen[/name_m] [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] [name_m]Blake[/name_m] is a good way to go. It flows nicely, but as you mentioned, you don’t want his name to feel heavy or sad to you.

[name_f][/name_f] I understand the hesitation with [name_m]Levi[/name_m] though—I have had the same feelings with my best friend’s name after she passed. [name_f][/name_f] If [name_m]Levi[/name_m] or [name_m]Blake[/name_m] ends up being too hard, maybe you could also find a name that honored something he loved or something that brought him joy? [name_f][/name_f] Like [name_m]Owen[/name_m] [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] [name_f]Waverly[/name_f] if he loved surfing, or [name_m]Owen[/name_m] [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] [name_m]Stone[/name_m] if he loved rock climbing, etc.?
