This might be a silly question but where do you look to find how “popular” a name is? Any specific websites or google searches I can do? Also, how to find out what’s popular in your area. Thanks in advance for the help!!
Popular Baby Names - This is the Social Security database, where you can search by year for the Top 1000 names in the U.S., and also for the Top 100 by state. Can’t remember offhand what the site is for U.K. or other countries.
search the Social Security website name list if you’re in the US. Currently the list from 2010 is up. 2011’s list is due out in a few weeks, I believe. There’s also an option on the general SS name list page to search name popularity by state.
