I feel this 200%! I hate when people use unauthorized nicknames for me. Thankfully my name doesn’t really lend itself to commonly used nicknames, but it happens sometimes. [name_f]My[/name_f] close friends will sometimes pull out a fun nickname out of endearment and that’s great! But then someone I’m definitely NOT close to will use it and I’m like um… you don’t have the authority to call me a fun, endearing nickname because you really don’t know me like that?? Lol, if that makes sense.
