OMG finally someone who agrees with me about this! I’ve tried to post things like this and only get negative feedback, but I completely agree with what you’re saying. I’m shocked and horrified by the top “names” on here, because apart from the fact that it’s concerning how many people want to name their kids ridiculous words, it’s also skewing the reality to parents who come here for advice. In real life, most people would be very put off by some of these “names” but parents get the idea they are relatively popular because they’re mentioned so much here so feel that it’s acceptable to use those words for their child. I completely agree about what you said about the name in adult life. I could say so much more about why I feel these trends are mean and unfair to the babies being given these “names” but I don’t want to come across as too judgmental or something…
