There is a name I heard a while ago that I don’t know how it would be spelled or even what it means, but its pronounced : [name_u]TAY[/name_u]-CUSS. Does anyone know how it may be spelled? Taicus? Taecus? Other?
I’ve never heard of a name with that pronunciation. I’m assuming you definitely heard the name right and it isn’t something like Tayca’s (possessive), “take us”, or similar?
Takus; Tacus; hmmm . . . a quick Google search shows that Tacus is a surname, and it also brings up [name_m]Spartacus[/name_m], bringing up the remote possibility that Tacus (with a pronunciation of [name_u]TAY[/name_u]-kuss rather than [name_m]TAH[/name_m]-cuss) was used in the context of a nickname for [name_m]Spartacus[/name_m]??
But it is evidently a surname, so maybe someone just used a rare family surname or even just a rare surname they’d heard as a first name??
That’s the best I can do, sorry!
