Hello Berries
Thank you all for your advice previously. You guys are truly amazing. We are now down to two names for our second baby girl. Our first born name is Althea. So We are trying to find a name that match with hers.
Two names We like so far are Callista and Freya.I love how both name sound. But my concerns are Callista is too rare. Even more than Althea.
And Freya is too maybe too popular. I searched Freya is top.10 girls name these two years. That maybe a problem maybe?
Any advice helps Berries We are open to more beautiful names of course.
Thank you all so much
Thank you everyone for the inputs. So far seems Like everyone like Callista over Freya. just curious. Whats the vibe everyone is getting from Althea Callista and Freya?
I like [name_f]Callista[/name_f] - it sounds familiar enough - similar to [name_f]Callie[/name_f], [name_f]Cassie[/name_f], [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] etc. [name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Callista[/name_f] sound great together.
[name_f]My[/name_f] vote is [name_f]Callista[/name_f]! I don’t think it is too rare. I’m a teacher and have only had one [name_f]Callista[/name_f] every, but it didn’t feel like her name was a problem.
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Callista[/name_f] are marvellous!! Neither of them are in the top 1000 in the U.K. or USA so I’d say they’re similarly rare and lovely!
[name_f]Callista[/name_f] is gorgeous! I don’t think you need to worry about it being too rare. The pronunciation is pretty straightforward, so I would imagine that even someone unfamiliar with the name would immediately know how to say it.
I love both of your ideas so far - Althea’s very ethereal so they both go well! Agree woth others that [name_f]Callista[/name_f] feels offbeat rather than rare and you’ve got a celeb in [name_f]Callista[/name_f] Flockhart if folks want to act like they’ve never heard of it
I think [name_f]Callista[/name_f] would be a perfect match with [name_f]Althea[/name_f]! They both sound ethereal and strong. [name_f]Callista[/name_f] might not be a common name for babies currently, but it’s still a familiar name.
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] + [name_f]Callista[/name_f] seem like a good match! [name_f]Callista[/name_f] is definitely rare, but it also feels totally familiar and well-established. Other ideas…
I’d go with [name_f]Callista[/name_f], I personally feel like it matches the vibe of [name_f]Althea[/name_f] better than [name_f]Freya[/name_f] does.
I know an [name_f]Althea[/name_f] with a younger sister [name_u]Arden[/name_u].
Thank you everyone for the inputs. So far seems Like everyone like Callista over Freya. just curious. Whats the vibe everyone is getting from Althea Callista and Freya?
I love [name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f]! [name_f]Callista[/name_f] is fine, but not as fine as [name_f]Freya[/name_f]. I met one [name_f]Freya[/name_f] about 25 years ago and that’s it. I am also not keen on [name_f]Callie[/name_f], which I feel she would be called.
I like:
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_u]Esme[/name_u]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Ismene[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Pallas[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Caledonia[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Lalage[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Liriope[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Cleome[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilac[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Tressa[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Verity[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Citlali[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Xiomara[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Zuleika[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Jessamy[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Mara[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_u]Cypress[/name_u]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] & [name_f]Callista[/name_f] together feel very elegant, they have a very Victorian era sound. I picture delicate pastels, palace of [name_f]Versailles[/name_f], eternal spring, ballet, violins, birdcages, garden labryinths, Bridgerton.
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] & [name_f]Freya[/name_f] together feel a bit different, they feel more woodsy and wintery, long sunny hikes with a dog, flannel and pine, long hair in braids, cozy denim/big sweaters, snowboarding, apres ski
I love both names, but completely understand your worry about [name_f]Freya[/name_f] being popular, how about [name_f]Feya[/name_f] ? I also love [name_f]Callie[/name_f] and [name_f]Calla[/name_f] as either nicknames or alternatives, good luck and congratulations!!
