I am pregnant with a girl, due in [name]July[/name]. This will be our fourth child, our third daughter. We are having a terrible time coming up with names, so I would love some suggestions. We want a name that fits with our other children’s names: [name]Dominic[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name], [name]Mary[/name] [name]Victoria[/name], and [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Hope[/name]. Also we want either the first or middle name to be biblical as is a family tradition. Names that we’ve thrown around are:
[name]Joanna[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] (nn [name]Penny[/name])
[name]Hattie[/name] (I started a different post about this b/c we can’t agree on spelling)
Any combinations that include these names or are along these lines would be great!
[name]Joanna[/name]: I really like [name]Joanna[/name], but it isn’t my favorite on your list.
[name]Juliet[/name]: I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], and it sounds nice with your other kid’s names!
[name]Josephine[/name]: I love [name]Josephine[/name], too! It’s perfect with [name]Dominic[/name], [name]Mary[/name], and [name]Elizabeth[/name]!
[name]Lucy[/name]: This is great, too!
[name]Penelope[/name] (nn [name]Penny[/name]): I’m not sure if the style really fits with your other kid’s classic names, but it’s a nice name.
[name]Hattie[/name]: It’s way too much of a nickname for me… what about [name]Harriet[/name] or [name]Henrietta[/name]? And what other way is there to spell [name]Hattie[/name]??
I think [name]Josephine[/name] would be absolutely perfect, but I also love [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name]. You can’t go wrong, though!
[name]Josephine[/name] is a female variation of [name]Joseph[/name], so would that count as a Biblical name?
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Susanna/name
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Adah[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Zillah[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name]/[name]Rebekah[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Leah[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Dinah[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Rachel[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Miriam[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Lydia[/name]
Some of these suggestions are less known ([name]Zillah[/name], [name]Adah[/name]), but still Biblical. Also, [name]Mary[/name] and [name]Miriam[/name] are listed as variations of each other in some sources, if it bothers you.
