Name suggestive of "protector of animals?"

I’m looking to find a name that is suggestive of protector of animals and/or nature (i.e by meaning or association with a person/character/whatever)

I know the obvious choice is [name]Francis[/name] (for [name]Francis[/name] of Assissi) but I can’t use that :frowning:

Any suggestions appreciated.

Patrons of domestic animals:
[name]Ambrose[/name] of [name]Milan[/name]
[name]Anthony[/name] of Padua
[name]Anthony[/name] the [name]Abbott[/name]
[name]Blaise[/name]
[name]Felix[/name] of [name]Nola[/name]

If you’re looking for a girls name [name]Rosamund[/name] means “horse protection”.

Also, could [name]Shepherd[/name] work?

[name]Artemis[/name] was the goddess “protector of young animals and had the gift to tame wild animals”. She was of course also a hunter, before those 2 things were seen as mutually exclusive.

here’s a list of other nature deities
I think Medeina, [name]Ash[/name], [name]Antheia[/name], and [name]Rhea[/name] are all pretty.

[name]Blaise[/name] is the Patron [name]Saint[/name] of wild animals.

[name]Diana[/name] is the [name]Roman[/name] version of [name]Artemis[/name]. I was going to suggest both of these, though I prefer [name]Diana[/name].

Oh sorry! I just noticed I was in the boy’s forum! Hmmm, boys names are harder for this one!
