Hey guys,
As my frequent posting probably let you know, I absolutely love the Name the class (twist) forum and had an idea in regards to it - namely making a spinoff of sorts where we create classes, albeit they’re tied to fantasty, sci-fi, comic book etc. settings to switch things up?
If you’re interested I’d love to give this a go but there’s no pressure! And please feel free to include an original school if you’d like to as well!
@moonwriteen @kidpix21 @brightdarkblue @RileyAddison13 @cara_murvolio @I_meme_it - I tagged ya’ll as you’re frequent and recent posters ^u^
For anyone new the format’s pretty simple!
Ex:
P1: There are 14 students in Professor Harry Potter’s Defense Against the Dark Arts Class
The first kid is a Hufflepuff who enjoys travel, experimenting with makeup and baking.
P2: Elenora Mafalda Dawnridge
The next student is a Ravenclaw who doesn’t fit with the traditional mold on a surface level, seeming scatterbrained and going by organised chaos.
And so on!
Credit to @kidpix21 for the original concept!
11th Grade Chemistry (16-17 year olds, 27 students) - The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning
Chemistry at the Xavier Institute is being taught by a newly hired staff member who’s decision to become a teacher of said subject wasn’t influenced by her power: limited gravity manipulation. She was born and raised in Salford, Manchester - moving to the States specifically to teach fellow mutants after deciding she wanted a fresh start following a messy breakup with her doctor ex-boyfriend: a decision her parents worried about thanks to how impulsively she went for it. They trust their daughters’ judgment ultimately though and admit they’re a little overprotective on account of her mutant status - with her having faced some rebuttals as a child, mostly thanks to parents’ of her friends being scared of what she was capable of doing. This hasn’t dampened her fun-loving, strong willed demeanor and she’s very aware that sciences don’t appeal to everyone - so she modifies her lessons to be both accessible for everyone and engaging in their presentation. At twenty-nine she knows she wants to settle down and raise a family of her own some day, but meeting the right person - as she’s pansexual - has proved trickier than she’d like to admit, on the grounds of her typically being attracted to those more interested in a good time than thinking about the long term. She’s Afro-Asian and is dedicated to both parts of her cultural heritage - speaking Mandarin and Chinese fluently, as well as commonly cooking West Indies dishes, with the former actually being the first language she picked up as a child. Petite and quick on her feet, she has wavy black hair cut just beneath her shoulders and warm, coffee coloured eyes which she outlines in bright shades of liner - contrasted by the fact she prefers wearing minimalistic, pastel outfits both teaching and while relaxing (the main difference being in her down time she lives in comfy sports clothes, typically paired with an oversized, very soft jumper - being an avid runner, rock climber and base jumper). She’s well liked by her colleagues on account of her sunny disposition and drive to include everyone in socialising - albeit Rogue likes to joke she talks a hundred miles a minute and usually there’s about six layers to the story she’s telling you!
