I really like the [name]Pia[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] combination.
I also like [name]Gretchen[/name]/[name]Greta[/name].
[name]Katerina[/name] was on my list a long time ago, and since replaced with a like, however not love, for [name]Catalina[/name].
You can totally leave that tradition obviously, just that these are other nice names in that family.
Of the options your’e considering I like [name]Clara[/name] best with [name]Annika[/name], but they would all work well enough. For a MN after a name ending with -a, it usually sounds better to start with a consonant, not another vowel, and many people don’t like two names that both end in -a together (though there are tons of exceptions, and I think [name]Pia[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] is beautiful - maybe not the most natural fit with [name]Annika[/name], but it certainly works).
I could see…
[name]Annika[/name] [name]Rose[/name] & [name]Clara[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Annika[/name] [name]Rose[/name] & [name]Clara[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Annika[/name] [name]Rose[/name] & [name]Clara[/name] [name]Natalie[/name]
[name]Annika[/name] [name]Rose[/name] & [name]Clara[/name] [name]Violet[/name] (if you don’t think the flower thing is too cutesy - I like it).
[name]Annika[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and her sister
[name]Juliet[/name] was the first name that came to mind when I saw your post.
[name]Claudia[/name] seems perfect with [name]Annika[/name], she is so classy and ladylike, [name]Claudia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] both strong feminine names.
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Larissa[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Liesel[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]
[name]Simone[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]
[name]Francine[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] love this combo
Thanks, I’ve been musing on this for a little while.
When I picked out the name [name]Annika[/name], it wasn’t nearly as ‘well known’ as it is now - my little girl turns five next month. I’m looking for something that isn’t well known in Australia, but nothing unique and difficult to pronounce by any means.
My partner (who is not [name]Annika[/name]'s bio father) is Peruvian, but lived in Spain for quite a while too - so there is an advantage of being able to use a large variety of names. So, I’m looking for names that compliment [name]Annika[/name]'s, and also seem to ‘fit’.
From the lists I do like [name]Clara[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] & [name]Clara[/name] [name]Violet[/name] (I’ve always been hesitant about another ‘flower’ name). I also quite like [name]Carolina[/name].
As an Aussie I hope that I can give you a name that would make a good fit here in [name]Oz[/name].
I would tend to lean towards [name]Ingrid[/name] as I think [name]Ingrid[/name] and [name]Annika[/name] make a good sibset.
And maybe these too?
[name]Maya[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Adelina[/name] if you don’t mind them sharing an A
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Greta[/name]
[name]Carolina[/name] [name]Margot[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
And [name]Juliet[/name] I take it she doesn’t appeal to you? I have only ever met one here in [name]Oz[/name].
[name]Cassandra[/name] (seldom heard but v. pretty)
[name]Chloe[/name] too popular?
[name]Sybella[/name]/[name]Sybil[/name]
I think [name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] would work well.
