Hi! I’ve been trying to pick out a new name for myself, and I’ve been really drawn to Spencer. However, it starts with the same first two letters as my sibling, Sparrow. Spencer seems like the perfect fit for me, but I don’t want to choose something too similar, especially considering it’d be kind of noticeable since my other sibling’s name doesn’t start with an S. What do you guys think?
Also, if you have any name suggestions, I’d really appreciate it. I don’t want anything too trendy that would stick out. Some other names I like are; Layne/Lane, Neil, Cameron, Leon, Andrew, Declan, and Cedric.

I don’t think [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] is too similar to [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u].
If you opt for something different, I really like [name_m]Cedric[/name_m] from your own list.

I think it’s fine, but I’d say talk to your sibling - would they be offended or feel weird about it, or just happy you’ve found the right name?
[name_m]Cedric[/name_m], [name_u]Declan[/name_u] and [name_u]Leon[/name_u] are great too!!
A few others:
[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]
[name_u]Julian[/name_u]
Tobias/Toby
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_m]Marlon[/name_m]
[name_u]Drew[/name_u]

I kinda love [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] and [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u] together! But I agree, speak to your sibling first and see how they feel.

Thank you all for the replies and suggestions! I was planning on talking to my sibling, but wanted an outside perspective on it as well. I really appreciate the help
I dont think it’s too similar, but like others have said may be worth speaking to your sibling. Of your other names I really like [name_u]Leon[/name_u].
Also, bear in mind you’re going to be grouped with your sibling(s) less and less as you get older, if you’re not already adults - so think about how you want to be known on your own and less about how it flows with your siblings’ names.
